"Idk about other items but I came for Macadamia nut latte and it was very disappointing - no nut flavor at all! I even asked if I should get hot or cold to taste the flavor more and I got as recommended - hot latte. And it’s $7 for a tiny cup! Don’t waste your money on it if you are thinking of getting it. Can’t speak for other items."

"Note: we’ve returned here many times for coffee and the coffee remains good, though the length of wait seemed to get longer each time. This morning I waited a good 15-20 minutes just for a latte. The reason was obvious, this place had only two workers and when everyone wanted more than a coffee, like a breakfast, then both have to go prepare the order. Since this place is doing such a good business, its owner may want to consider hiring additional workers to reduce the wait time. We stopped by here for a coffee and its latte was surprisingly good. It also serves some basic breakfast and lunch sandwiches, but we only had coffee here. There were plenty of tables for patrons to rest. We opted for one of the tables closest to the sidewalk outside of Honolulu Cookie Company and enjoyed people watching. It was outdoor, yet it was breezy and comfortable. A great place to take a break from doing all the touristy things in Waikiki."

"We had a nice visit to Kai Coffee Hawaii, located inside the shopping center near the Seafolly store. It’s a calm and convenient spot to take a break while shopping. One of the advantages is that there are usually available seats — unlike other busy cafés where you have to wait a long time just to sit down or get your order. We tried the coffee with ice cream — it was refreshing and tasty! They also offer desserts, sandwiches, and light snacks, so it’s a good place for a quick bite. The only downside is that when you walk in from the hot street, you expect to cool off a bit, but the air conditioning isn’t very noticeable. Since it’s in the middle of the mall, it feels more open than a traditional café space. Overall, it’s a nice little place to stop by for coffee and a treat. Convenient, relaxed, and worth a visit if you’re in the area."

"9:30, extremely slow service. Food and coffee are acceptable, nothing special. But a wrap and a coffee for 25$ could have been spent better elsewhere"

"I’m a barista, drink a lot of coffee and have been a loyal Kai Coffee customer for many years. Unfortunately, this location consistently makes a weaker Kai Latte (mac nut latte) compared to other locations. Here’s what’s wrong: 1) Large lattes here use 2 shots of espresso instead of 3. 2) Mac nut syrup here is plain syrup. I have asked for more syrup to be sure and there is no nut flavor. If you want a Kai Latte, you’re better off at a different location. I think the other locations have also gone down in quality over the years, but not quite as steeply as this location. Kai Coffee, I’m one of your favorite fans and I won’t be coming back to this location anymore after repeated weak and flavorless coffee. The value isn’t there. Management, quality control please!"
