"Green Flash Coffee was right around the corner from where I was staying in Kona, and after my first visit, I couldn’t stop coming back! Each time I went, I tried something new and was never disappointed. The staff are amazing. So kind, friendly, and always ready with great recommendations (which were always spot on). It’s no wonder there’s constantly a line out the door! Drink-wise, I tried the Haupia Iced Latte, the Gianduia Iced Latte, and the Mauna Kea Mocha Iced Latte and I still can’t decide which one I loved most. For food, I had the Monte Cristo, the French Toast Sammie, and the Ham & Swiss Panini … all absolutely incredible. This place is warm, welcoming, and everything they have to offer is delicious in every way. Can’t wait to come back next time I’m on the island!"

"We have a small coffee business Hilo side, and we’re in Kona for the week looking to sample some of the local coffee shops in the area just because we rarely have the opportunity to try other peoples coffees. I would say we have pretty high standards for recommending places to friends and fellow coffee connoisseurs. This was our fav stop of the entire week. The quality of shots being pulled and the quality of local grown and roasted coffee was 100/100 This is exactly what small hand crafted batches can taste like when the stars align. The food felt the exact same for us. Like it was crafted with love and care. I did forget to include a picture of the syrup that came with the French toast Sammy but both it and the salmon bagel were the best breakfast Sammy’s we’ve had on island. Pretty sure everyone in my family is getting coffee beans from green flash this year. Thank you for such a gorgeous experience. 4 stars for atmosphere just because limited seating in the hot Kona sun 😅"

"I really try to support family businesses, and I completely understand when a place needs more time to prepare an order or limits customers inside — that’s totally fine with me. What’s not okay is being treated rudely at 7:30 in the morning just for asking a question. The coffee itself was okay — nothing special. If you’re in Kona, there are definitely better places to go for coffee — with friendlier service and better vibes. I wanted to like this place, but unfortunately, service matters. A little kindness goes a long way, especially first thing in the morning."
