from Google"I’m not a chocolate person to be clear. I stumbled onto Monoa chocolate while waiting for a table at nearby Cinnamons (for the record is worth the 45-60 min wait). We were welcomed immediately and offered a free chocolate tasting that was just starting, W Sat is a square type bar setting with other guests and were served a small dixie cup of cocoa hot tea. You read that right…chocolate tea. I’m also not a tea person. Delicious! Long story short we were treated to 5 or so different chocolates, and a chocolate infused honey and peanut butter. They also offer wine tastings as well as private party tastings. At the End of the Day this was a classy experience and was a great way to spend the time. No I didn’t buy chocolate because despite the fact that it was amazing it was a bit pricey for me and I’m just not a chocolate guy."
"FUN & ENGAGING! You feel the aloha as soon as you walk in. We chose the 2 hour tasting experience. Mia, the guide is a fabulous presenter! She gave an introduction on how the cacao grows and takes us through the process on how chocolate is made. She provided the right amount of information to us without feeling overwhelmed or bored. This tour will awaken your senses! You get to smell various cacao beans and tour the facility. You begin with sampling cacao juice and end with tasting an abundance of samples. recommend the tour and I hope to visit the chocolate farm where the cacao's are harvested next time!"
"Stopped in to escape the rain and I’m so glad we did. My boyfriend is a tour guide and recommended we do so naturally he has all the best recommendations. We did a chocolate tasting and it was fabulous. Staff was kind and knowledgeable. I ended up purchasing the cinnamon & honey almond pecan butter and Im obsessed. Thank you for the cutest and yummiest experience!"
"Manoa Chocolate & Wine Bar is everything I hoped for and more. The staff are genuinely lovely, knowledgeable, and helpful, making the free chocolate tasting feel like a fun discovery rather than just samples. The coco wine is excellent, rich, smooth, and pairs beautifully with their chocolates. Their products, spreads, cacao tea, bars, and merch, are high-quality, creative, with great stories behind each flavor (Lilikoi, Sea Salt, Kope Coffee, etc.). Their designs, packaging, and graphics are definitely one of the strongest features, my personal favorite. The space is cute and relaxed: wood-shelves lining the walls, warm lighting, wine racks, display cases, a tasting bar. It feels upscale without being stuffy, you can linger and browse, sip wine, or just enjoy chocolate. Absolutely 5 stars. If you love chocolate, wine, or just discovering artisanal local goods, this place is a must-stop in Kailua."
"Rushed to get here approximately 45 minutes before closing, and it was so worth it. They were starting to end service so we recommend going at least an hour before close. We were so lucky they allowed us to experience their tasting. Everything was amazing! We were happy to buy some incredible local souvenirs and also couldn’t leave without some for us as well!"
