"I came in skeptical and more critically not very hungry. Furthermore, I was initially taken aback by the rigid structure of the fruit/base pairing. Upon walking in, the warm, rich aroma of freshly made waffle comes greeted us. I actually didn’t order anything and just opted to sample my wife and son’s cones. I was blown away by this ice cream. It was beyond splendid. It was simple, fresh ingredients that blew away any alternative ice cream parlor. I ended up commandeering and finishing both of my family members’ cones. (With permission). Perfect Day Real Fruit Ice Cream lives up to its name and has been elevated to one of my must haves any time I am on Kailia alongside Lani Kai Juice and Tamura’s Poke."

"The BEST real fruit ice cream on Oahu. Their dairy-free coconut base, banana, peanut butter drizzle, and cacao nibs is the magic that is the “Funky Monkey,” a family favorite. A lovely husband and wife team heads a small staff, all very friendly and welcoming. You feel the aloha here! Perfect Day has a few locations and market pop-ups. Here at their brick & mortar they are now making homemade waffle cones, cold brew and more. The main attraction remains a smooth ice cream base with real fruit “drilled” in, topped with an assortment of yummy options. Dairy-free and gluten-free (dfgf) options, which are important considerations for my partner. Happy tummies!"

"Perfect Day is hands down my favorite local ice cream! They mix fresh fruit of your choice right into the ice cream, so it’s super fresh, not too sweet, and has this really nice, hearty texture. There are lots of toppings to choose from, but honestly, the ice cream’s so good on its own that I rarely add any. I’m vegan, so I especially love that they offer a coconut-based option that isn’t too coconutty—it’s perfect for everyone. And the fact that you can find them at different farmers markets?
