"Disappointed with prices and lack of discounts I recently visited The Brew Cafe inside the Daniel K. Akaka VA Clinic after my appointment, expecting a convenient and reasonably priced place to grab a bite. While it’s great that the clinic offers a food option with coffee and grab-and-go items like salads, sandwiches, and pastries, the prices are significantly higher than what you’d expect for a small café serving a VA clinic. This is a facility dedicated to Veterans, many of whom are seniors, on fixed incomes, or are active duty/military families. It was frustrating to see no senior or military discount available — and the costs here don’t feel fair or reasonable given the context. The grab-and-go nature is convenient, but the pricing doesn’t match the needs of the Veterans community this clinic serves. Overall, I appreciate having the option to purchase food and coffee on site, but the high prices and lack of discounts make this a disappointing experience. Veterans and caregivers deserve better value for something that’s supposed to be a supportive amenity."

"Cute little cafe-type eatery that's located inside the new Kapolei VA center. I got the iced sesame latte which was amazing cause it wasn't too sweet and their caprese sandwich and a jalapeño scone. They sell a variety of sandwiches, drinks like juices and coffees and bakes goods."

"Inside of the VA, left wing of the building. The affagato and cold brew specials are my go-to (vanilla sweetcream, chocolate haupia). Daily lunch specials served at 1100."

"The Brew is selling their homegrown Kona coffee from Lineage Coffee Farm on the Big Island. I know it sounds sac religious but please try the Mac Nut Kona drip. They crush/pulverize Macadamia nuts into an oil, then roast their beans in that Mac nut oil. It’s not too powerful and still has plenty good coffee aftertaste. Great easy drinker. And I’m not even a fan of Hawaiin coffee, but this stuff is good. The food was good too. The Portuguese sausage breakfast bowl came with 5 big slices of sausage and 2 fried eggs over a bed of sesame seed white rice. Bomb.com"

"white mocha is delicious along with one of their croissants. Their coffee is not overly sugared and sweetened so you get a nice blend of flavor and still can enjoy that coffee bean taste."

"Drink cost & quality: got a hot caramel macchiato--strong coffee and not too sweet. (For reference, I find McDonalds latte type drinks are WAY too sweet,..."
