"Love the freshly made poi mochi ($10 a dozen) and option of flavored drizzles. (For $1 add on). Kulolo is my favorite but they also have Haupia or just get em plain. Still ono! Aunty is very nice and the food is made fast and warm. Wish their was some basic drink offerings or even indoor seating to enjoy the food on location. Overall a great place to stop by to grab a yummy snack and head out to enjoy elsewhere."

"This place is super duper. I always try to come here when I visit Oahu. The poi mochi is crunchy and chewy and awesome. I think it would be nice if they had more flavors available, but the two they have are super good. I wish I was able to eat more food. If I could I would eat a whole box of these things. The staff are super nice."

"Disappointing experience at the Ka Makana Ali‘i location. We arrived at 10:08 AM on a Thursday — well past opening time — and the doors were still locked. A staff member was sitting visibly at the front and saw my aunty multiple times but completely ignored her. We waited until 10:20 AM, and the store was still closed. Other customers also came by and tried to enter, only to be ignored as well. I understand if prep was still happening, but ignoring people during posted business hours is just bad customer service."

"I recently visited Uncle Lani’s Poi Mochi, but unfortunately, the experience didn’t quite live up to expectations. Upon entering, the team’s interaction was fine but lacked the warmth that makes a customer feel welcome. As for the donuts, they didn’t taste freshly made. They seemed like they’d come out of a microwave, with one side hard and the other side mushy—a surprising inconsistency. Despite the popularity suggested by online reviews, we were the only customers at the time, which seemed unusual. We tried all three glazes, and while the Haupia glaze was my favorite, the amount of glaze seemed excessive, perhaps compensating for the donuts’ lack of freshness. I genuinely wanted to love these, and I hope my feedback helps inspire improvements."

"Delicious hot poi mochi. I went to the poi mochi food truck. The service was quick and it was pretty affordable. A dozen poi mochi for only 10 dollars. Quite delicious. I ordered poi mochi with haupia drizzle because the poi drizzle ran out. It was amazing. Hot, fresh, made to order."
