What People Are Saying
from Google"Amazing spot! Best food and craft cocktails on the island by far. Michael, Ray and Laura are incredibly talented and kind at the bar. Ownership is incredibly good people and has the right ethos- local, clean ingredients are hard to find and they deliver on that ethos. The community market is killer too!! Thanks all. Also, drink photos would be better but we keep drinking them too fast before remembering to take pics!"
"I wish we would have found this little gem sooner. Such a great atmosphere and staff and the food was so so fresh. We were lucky enough to have the special red snapper that night and it was soo good. We loved the fish and chips the coffee and the acai bowls. Everything was great and we will be back again. Such a great place with all local sourced ingredients all from Hawaii. From the food to the drinks etc. A must visit for sure 10 out of 10!"
"We came at off peak time and it was awesome! Updated as our trip progressed: Our first 4 days were in Kauai, then 5 days in Maui, we are now in the Big Island on our second day; Living Foods was so far my top restaurant during this stretch that is within a $25-30 budget. We went back 3 times during our 4 days stay! At the last visit we didn’t have a reservation but they let us use the big table where the reservation was at 7:45pm. The staff was super helpful and authentically trying to help, everything was delicious for the price. Two thumbs up!"
"OK, I brought my mom and aunt to Kauai, and it’s their first time on the island, and Living Foods was perfect for them! (We are here a few times.) Food options were really quite tasty, particularly the toasts — that bread was delicious!! Also, service was quite nice, and the sun-coverage was quite good. Located right in the mall, so shopping is convenient after."
"We stopped into Living Foods a couple of times during our stay—once for breakfast and once for lunch. For breakfast, I ordered the chicken and waffles (a favorite of mine whenever I see it on the menu). The fryer wasn’t up and running yet when we arrived around 9am, so we had to walk around the plaza and come back at 9:39 to place the order. Once ready, it was worth the wait. My husband had the loco moco, which he really enjoyed. On a previous visit for lunch, my husband ordered the smash burger with fries (note: fries are separate—sandwiches come with coleslaw by default), and I went with the ahi BLT. Both were fresh, flavorful, and nicely done. Overall, Living Foods has a nice variety and everything we tried felt fresh and well-prepared. A solid choice whether you’re stopping in for breakfast or lunch."
