from Google"Sweet Caroline’s deserves 4.5 stars. The bathroom could definitely be nicer, but the food is some of the best you can find in Ames. They have amazing gluten-free options with a huge menu, and everything tasted incredible. The early 2000s pop music gave me flashbacks to Big Time Rush and One Direction, which I honestly loved."
"Sweet Caroline’s in downtown Ames has a great vibe and friendly service. Food was a bit off today, everything felt over-fried but overall still a solid spot. Would definitely come back and try again."
"First time here and out of 5 of us eating 2 things were bad enough to not eat. Hush puppies were burnt and the pasta was so under done it was inedible. The service was top notch and they comped the bad food. We will give it a second try."
"We went in for lunch on a Thursday. There were a couple large parties but still plenty of seating. We sat in the booth style seating near the kitchen. It was a bit quieter back there. Chloe, our server, was very attentive and cheerful. She answered our menu questions and attended to us very promptly. Watching the servers zip through the dining room and greet customers with big smiles was a pleasure. Our food was delicious and came out incredibly fast- Alabama French Onion burger and a Shrimp Po-boy with fries. The burger was so juicy it dropped down my chin after the first bite! The Po-boy had quality ingredients and was loaded with shrimp. We are both huge fans of beer battered fries and they did not disappoint. While we were eating, we were discussing what we'll order next time we go!"
"Stopped in for a quick bite while traveling through. We were pleasantly surprised by the unique fun atmosphere. We ordered the bacon, blue cheeseburger, mac & cheese, and the brussels sprouts. The Food was excellent. The burgers are served well done, and all the sauces are homemade. Our server, Kylie was friendly and knowledgeable. The patio looks Very inviting and fun."
