from Google"I called at 9am on 12/17 for a 200 frosted Christmas cookies order for an 11am event on 12/18. I was surprised they would accept my order at such a late notice. I was told I could pick them up at 11am on 12/18, which was pishing it for the event but ordered anyway. I called at 9am on 12/18 for a status. They had the order completed and ready for pickup. To top this all off, the cookies looked amazing and tasted just as good. The Rock Creek Solar Appreciation Luncheon was so much better with Sweetheart Bakery cookies"
"I bought gender reveal cupcakes from here thinking that they would he really good because its a bakery. We even called in advance to make sure they did gender reveal items. When we got them they looked really good! Decorations on them were cute and nice looking. When we took a bite to find out the gender they were super dry. They cumbled and fell apart. The reveal frosting that was supposed to be inside was nowhere to be found. There was the tiniest... and I mean tiniest (like only the size of your pinky nail) worth of frosting all the way at the top. I was very disappointed. I will never buy a cake or cupcakes from here again. If you can't do gender reveal cupcakes then dont tell people you can because you will ruin their reveal! Everyone was so nice but quality was not there... I guess I had my hopes too high."
"Until two days ago, our family has always enjoyed everything we have bought there most often, donuts or cookies. I thought for my husband’s birthday I would get a cake from there. We usually get one from Hy-Vee and they are delicious but I thought a cake from Sweetheart would most likely definitely be the best. It really was probably the worst cake anyone in our family has ever had. I don’t think it’s gonna get finished. I think I’m gonna have to throw it in the garbage cause normally cakes would be gone after two days but I think everybody had one piece and they’re good. It basically taste like nothing. The texture is disturbing it is extremely dry and like I said the only thing we could really taste with some frosting. It was hard to cut because of the dryness like it kinda fell apart. It was hard to put on your fork, but not fell apart like a nice moist cake it’s like chunks of crumble. What’s disturbing is I thought maybe it’s just a bad one for some reason but I think this is just how their cakes are. Maybe it was pulled out of a freezer not made fresh but for over $40 for a quarter sheet cake I would have hoped they would’ve made it fresh there’s no way this is fresh. If it is then that’s really bad then their cakes are I would not recommend buying one. I’m sorry, but it’s a bakery. The look of it was perfection but that’s the end, the taste is no taste, the texture is not of a cake really. I will never go back there for a cake. I’m sorry for the sad review trust me. No one is more sorry than me, but I would like to hope I can prevent someone else from thinking that they are gonna get a really good cake. No, you’re gonna spend a lot of money for nothing. I really wished I would’ve saved myself $37 or used it towards a bill that needs to be paid and could’ve spent three or four dollars on a cake and baked it myself and it would’ve been worth more money than the cake I paid for from an actual bakery."
"My mom bought my husband and I 2 different cakes for our birthdays and when we cut into them they were extremely dry and they just both crumbled apart. We attempted to eat a bite and both cakes just went in the garbage. They only sat one day after my mom picked them up. What a waste of money for 2 cakes that we couldn’t even eat and just went in the trash. I have never been so disappointed. We will never go back again for as much as my mom paid. Extremely unhappy."
"The cake was beautiful and delicious. They did a wonderful job matching the cake design to our theme. Highly recommended!"
