"No frills. Just good coffee. Really great service. The only other time I’ve been to Illinois (other than the airport between flights) was with my Pop when I was 14 years old. I’m visiting my son who is in temporary work assignment and he recommended this place. So, while he’s working, I’m finding things to do. My Pop couldn’t drink coffee, but he was all about trains…heck, he even road around in boxcars as a young man. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen an open boxcar. This train had several. I sat in the icy parkway by lot nearby and reminisced about time with my Pop on the Iowa side of the border, as I waited for my son to get off work so we can go visit the arsenal museum on base."

"Hidden Gem Alert! We usually hit the coffee shop by Rivercenter, but I happened to drive past this spot and wow — what a find! I got a caramel latte and a fried egg sandwich, and both were absolutely delicious. The coffee tastes fresh and smooth — not burnt or stale like some places. And the sandwich? So yummy! Prices are totally reasonable too. Highly recommend checking it out if you’re near The Adler or Rivercenter. Definitely bookmarking this for our next dance trip in the spring!"

"Eggcellent breakfast sandwiches and coffee. A bit pricey though…$33 for two sandwiches, a small hot chocolate and New Orleans coffee. It was worth it though. Walked here from our hotel. No seating inside, a few picnic tables outside. They also have a drive through. Service was quick and friendly."
