"What a cute second bookstore/coffee shop! The place is packed full with books and had a welcoming atmosphere and nice staff. I picked up a few books and had a coffee (the snickers latte is to die for!)"

"My Dad and I stopped in for an afternoon break while touring around the city. We enjoyed our made to order coffee and hot chocolate before sitting near the fire place to enjoy the books and board games on offer. Parking was easy. The space is very relaxing. The baristas are friendly. What more can anyone ask for!"

"Is it a bookstore or coffeehouse first? I made plans to drive to the Quad Cities to hang out with a friend who was stationed there for her traveling nurse job. My first request upon getting there was coffee coffee coffee. It was Memorial Day so we were limited to where we could go and The Brewed Book just happened to be up the road and open for business. Upon entering, I knew I was in heaven. I don’t know if I’ve ever talked about my love for reading but I am an avid book worm. So, to have two of my loves combined in a single shop was *chef’s kiss*. The barista/cashier was quick to take and make our orders. I got my usual iced Americano and Cassey got a breve. I got a cinnamon caramel-type cookie. We strolled and browsed the bookshelves as we sipped our coffee. My americano wasn’t as bitter as I prefer but it was still good. The cookie itself was pretty tasty. The gooey center was actually more liquid than I expected and added to the tastiness. Cassey said her breve was delicious. We both spent plenty of time browsing and looking at books. I have a soft spot for Stephen King and was surprised to see they had plenty of his works on hand. Sadly, I didn’t get any since I am currently reading his book Dolores Claiborne and have Four After Midnight in my backlog (along with plenty of other books by other authors). As we browsed, we noticed a HUGE pile of board games along the opposite wall. I’m not sure if these were for public use but, if so, it’s the largest collection I’ve seen for people to use. I could see some of my friends willingly coming here for our nerd hangouts. We didn’t purchase any books since we both had large backlogs to deal with but if I get the chance to go back up to the Quad Cities, I am definitely stopping back in to grab a few Stephen King books and maybe more. Stay caffeinated and remember to read at least 30 minutes a day."

"Such an amazing little place. I had no idea it was here until my significant other had a meeting here. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The drinks and food affordable. I loved the ambiance of the inside. So many cozy places to sit and read or study or chat with friends. There is a weekly boardgame event on Sundays and Tabletop RPG on Thursday. I will be back for sure."
