What People Are Saying
from Google"Dinner at the Royal Mile before a show. The Fish and Chips were recommended and decided to give it a try. The fish is very good flaky cod and the ends were crispy and good. The center was very oily and the breading fell off. I feel like if they did smaller pieces it would be better. I like crispy, flaky, with minimal grease. I want the breading to stay with the fish and this just didn’t check those boxes. It just wasn’t the best I have had, good, but not great. Comparing to The Bank in Ireland it just didn’t hit. For an English Place I really wish they also had traditional mushy peas which are fantastic. The French Fries were just Ok. The place wasn’t very busy and the service was good. Would try other food if in the area."
"Fiance and I arrived at 7:30 on a Fri night. We were seated right away. Service was exceptionally fast. Food was amazing. Best Fish and Chips I've had in a very long time. Not soggy, crispy, flakey Cod. Delicious. My fiance had the Roast Beef sandwich. For starters we had the spinach & artichoke dip."
"We enjoyed our team here. We delicious Guinness beers on draft and tried a few different appetizers which were all good. I really liked the poutine and my dad loved the scotch egg. My hubby got The Earl sandwich which was huge and he said it was very good!"
"One of my favorite spots in downtown DSM. Cozy pub with an insane Scotch selection. Collin and staff are rehearsed and very knowledgeable about the selection and can walk you through recommendations."
"Came in on a recommendation when in town for a conference and brought 7 friends with me. I called ahead for a reservation and was told one wasn't needed. We wound up with a perfectly fine table right in the bar area. Appetizers were all quite good. The consensus at the table was that the Reuben egg rolls may have been the most unique and the most tasty of the bunch. For dinner I had their Steak & Guinness pie for dinner. Basically a pot pie but a bit more. The steak was fully cooked but still tender. Nice vege and a hearty gravy combined with a flaky crust to create a plate of deliciousness. Don't look past some of their more off-the-wall offerings. Lots of good stuff on their menu that isn't a burger and fries!"
