What People Are Saying
from Google"We got married here over the weekend and it was perfect! -Don and staff were so gracious with communication and answering our questions leading up to the wedding and were very flexible and accommodating. -Cy was the staff member in charge during our event and was enjoyable, excited, communicated excellent, allowed us ample time to set up, and genuinely wanted us to get what we needed to make the day perfect. Our day of coordinator really enjoyed working with him as well. -the venue: a unique setting that was beautiful and gave our guests plenty to see and do during down time. There was a little planning that went into seating and were all the events would happen but it worked perfectly. The dance floor with the layers of chandeliers was incredible. -bartenders worked very well with our coordinator, kept her updated throughout the night for anything that was needed or not. And were very friendly to us and our guests. -West End worked well with our DJ and caterer as well. We love West End and will be back for sure for coffee, shopping, and just to remember our special day!"
"Great staff and a great place to find a hidden gem. When we are back in town I will be back to look for more. This was my first time and I found an old floor grate and turned it into a garden piece for the wife's birthday."
"Whoa!!! This place is AMAZING!!! We were walking past this place and almost missed it. This was not a planned stop, but as we were walking past, I noticed some stained glass displayed in the windows that caught my attention. I'm so glad we stopped in. I chatted with a few friendly guys who were enjoying their coffee in the café area, but as we were chatting, my attention was drawn to all the antique and vintage items all around us. Four floors (plus the basement) packed with Americana treasures from times long forgotten. If you have any love for history, this is a must stop. You won't be disappointed."
"This is a multi-purpose center. They host events, sell coffee, and sell vintage and antique items, mostly furniture. I was there for an event and tried their black coffee, which was very good. They also sell specialty coffee at reasonable prices. It was fascinating to see their vintage and antique items for sale. It's worth checking out if you are interested in any of these things."
"This was one of the highlights of my trip to Des Moines! Loved all the good stuff here and I bought some fun things. The people are so nice. I love the coffee shop in front where you can get beer, wine, coffee, all so you can sip and stroll and just enjoy browsing. Loved it and I wish we had something like this in my town."
