"We had a party of eight the next morning after a wedding. The food was amazing and my dad thoroughly enjoyed the shrimp and grits. The pancakes are very big and moist. However, my daughter had the grilled cheese and really did not care for it. The waitress was decent, but the hostess was spectacular!"

"Birdies is a simple hole in the wall hidden gem of a restaurant. We were given a recommendation for breakfast from a local restaurant and they didn’t let us down. Both my wife’s and my breakfast were tasty and wonderful portions. Everyone is friendly, kind, polite and welcoming. We’re in town one more day and going back again. As I’m not from the area, I’ll say parking is 50/50. There are parking meters which I believe are free after 5 and some free parking at a side lot. We totally recommend eating here."

"We were visiting from out of town. We had a bit of a wait to sit down because we got there at a busy time. The menu is a classic breakfast/lunch menu and the food was excellent. Everything we ordered arrived quickly, hot, and fresh. The staff was friendly and the community atmosphere was very welcoming."

"A sad excuse for an eggs Benedict. The hollandaise sauce is a pale yellow, lacking that lemon zest flavor. Don’t know what it was. The staff and the whole place is amazing though. I will go back to try something else!"

"We were on a little road trip and stopped in Dubuque to get a bite to eat! There was a farmers market going on downtown so we went through that and this quaint little bistro caught our eye! So glad we decided to go in. Our waitress was amazing and the food was incredible! I had the breakfast skillet and my husband had the chicken and biscuits! Both came with sausage gravy and it was scrumptious!!"
