from Google"Amazing food. The crepe we ordered was L’ocean and Lyon. Both are just fantastic. The coffeee seems a bit pricey. But the taste and quantity was really worth it. I loved this place and probably will go back again."
"My daughter and I happened upon this lovely cafe by chance and were so impressed. It’s a French Moroccan inspired restaurant with a lot of charm! The ambience was perfect and the owner(?) was the sweetest! I wish I had gotten her name. They have sweet and savory options and were perfectly willing to adjust the ingredients for my daughter’s picky palette. The crêpes were the best I’ve ever had, even in France honestly. It’s clear they take pride in their business. My daughter ate all of hers and she is so picky it was great to see her try something new! We will certainly return for another mother daughter dinner!"
"You'll find no better crépe or omelette in the Midwest! Whether you live in town or are passing through DO NOT pass by without stopping in. I guarantee your taste buds have never experienced this mysterious delight! Everything you order from coffee to crépes are meticulously made and the presentation is amazing!"
"Second time here. They have the best crepes and coffee in Iowa city. Highly recommend this little gem."
"My companion and I had a lovely lunch at Crêpes De Luxe located at 309 E College St #1, in Iowa City, Iowa😋 The place itself is small, informal, and easy to walk past. But well worth seeking out! Seat yourself, then approach the counter to order a delicious crêpe, either sweet or savory. Or get one of each just to be on the safe side😁 The dishes are created in a tiny, completely open kitchen and are satisfying and delectable! I had the Lyon; spinach, cheddar, ham, or bacon (I chose ham), aioli, and drizzled with housemade pesto. The crêpe itself is worthy of the trip. Good crêpes aren't that easy to find, and these are wonderful. The taste and texture are fantastic, not rubbery, not too chewy, not overpowered with added flavors, just that tasty, magical combination of eggs, flour, and milk that is simple perfection. The ham was thinly sliced and of fine quality, but it didn't taste particularly special. The cheddar was of just the right taste and quantity, and the aioli quite mild. It was the spinach that caught my attention as I felt it was cooked to just the right degree, not mushy but still soft, and retaining that green, bright flavor that vegetable lovers so enjoy. My companion chose the Roma; feta cheese, dried cranberries, mozzarella, sun-dried tomatoes, spinach, diced & marinated chicken breast, also drizzled with housemade pesto sauce. Wow! The flavors were powerful and layered, with the feta, tomatoes, and spinach all combining very well with dried cranberries. This is not a flavor combination I, myself, would have put together, but the flavor profile was complex and wonderful. The mozzarella provided melty, cheesy goodness, and the chicken added just the right amount of body to the dish. This is one of those restaurants that almost demands a return visit, or two... or three! There is a salmon based crêpe, L'Ocean that needs tasting, as well as breakfast offerings, and you know how I feel about breakfast🤩 Looking for something different? Craving a new taste?
