"Absolutely loved this place! The café has a cozy, modern vibe with beautiful décor, and the staff were super friendly and welcoming. The desserts were incredible — the new warbat was perfectly crispy with tons of pistachios, and the Dubai chocolate crepe was rich, soft, and seriously delicious. Great coffee, great atmosphere, and a very convenient location. Highly recommend — can’t wait to come back!"

"I had a fabulous first visit to the two week old Le Crave in Iowa City. I went with my partner and daughter and all of us had a wow! experience😋 I love the atmosphere, it is modern yet cozy, perfect for getting together with peeps you are close with, or just to stop in for a yummy bite oneself. We were greeted at the register by the cheerful and energetic owner, Maryam. My hat is off to her as the place (open only two weeks!) was ticking along like a Swiss watch. And the food! Oh the food... We had two flatbreads, the Classic Za'tar and the Melted Magic. As well as the Nutella Fettuccine, a sweet, and coffees. All of the dishes were delightful, the three of us were in full agreement about each of them. The flatbread itself is perfect, great flavor and exactly the texture one hopes for. The za'tar seems as though it would be powerfully flavored, as it is liberally dusted with spices. But the flavor profile is actually quite subtle, savory and tasty, but without one single flavor dominating. Perfect as a snack to share around (as we did) or as a light lunch. I generally order different dishes off of a restaurant's menu every time I visit as I love new tastes, but the Melted Magic is so delectable I would order it every single time! The flatbread is topped with a mixture of feta, mozzarella, and queso fresco. It is baked so exquisitely that I can only describe the texture as pillowy. Flavored with thyme & mint this dish is so dang good the only comments on it were, mmmmm ummmmm mmmmm😋 The Nutella fettucine is a sweet dish consisting of a crêpe cut into thin strips (the fettuccine) drizzled with melted Nutella, white chocolate, and fresh strawberries. This dish is lightly sweet, not sugary in any way. The bright fresh flavor of the berries, the light sweetness of the drizzle of the white chocolate, and the quite specific sweet/not sweet flavor of the Nutella combine wonderfully. If you have ever enjoyed a Nutella crêpe then this is a must-have. If you have never had a Nutella crêpe this is still a must have😁 The sweet was a chocolate and peanut butter delight, almost unbelievably rich and delish and gone in seconds with the oh-so-good coffee. "this little place is so good that i’m still sitting here writing this review. we drove up to iowa for one night and stumbled upon le crave for breakfast. we ordered the dubai chocolate crepe and a vanilla matcha. i’m absolutely delighted with the way everything tastes. if i lived here i would come all the time! absolutely worth a visit if you’re in the area!!"

"I recommend Le Crave. We stopped by for crepes, which are surprisingly hard to find done well. I ordered the Oreo crepe, and we also tried another crepe (photo attached). Both were a good size, well made, and tasted great. The flavors were balanced, the ingredients felt high quality, and it was clear care went into the preparation. The restaurant was clean with a pleasant atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and courteous. Based on my experience, these were definitely worth it."

"Le Crave is one of my favorite spots in downtown Iowa City. They offer a great mix of crepes, pastries, drinks, and Middle Eastern,inspired flavors that make the menu feel unique compared to other cafés in town. My absolute favorite items are their Dubai chocolate cups and the crepe; they’re always fresh, rich, and so satisfying. It’s also a great place to grab a dessert right after dinner downtown. Whether you’re already out with friends or just strolling around, Le Crave is the perfect spot to end the night on a sweet note. One thing I really appreciate is that they stay open late on weekends, which makes it ideal for late-night cravings or a relaxed hangout. I just wish they would extend their Sunday hours too, because it’s definitely a place I’d love to visit more at the end of the weekend. The staff are always very nice, welcoming, and patient, which makes the whole experience even better. They also offer a student discount, which is a big plus, especially for regulars like me. I’ll 100% recommend!"
