"What a charming little shop! Stepping inside feels reminiscent of Luke's Diner from Gilmore Girls. Breakfast was delightful and reasonably priced. The hot cocoa was superb, and the Caramel Frappé was simply delicious. We've also enjoyed lunch here, and the sandwiches and soup are outstanding. The sweet treats are our absolute favorites, and the service is exceptional. We can't wait to visit again."

"Spending the week at Prairie Flower. Finally not raining. Decided a bicycle ride was in order. Came to Polk City and found an energy replacement spot Rising Sun Cafe. Greeted by the owner when entered . She is super! Brief history on the place Took our order then headed into the kitchen to cook. Oh yeah! I was eyeing the pastries but knew I had to finish my meal before a treat. We ordered the waffle platter for her and pancake for me. I added extra eggs and bacon. Butter is actually butter and not frozen waiting to melt in the next heat wave. Good tasting on the waffles and pancakes. Stellar service, and delicious everything. No clue on the pastries though Didn't finish my meal. Those dang muffins will have to wait. ❤️"

"This place is so yummy. The service is friendly. The food is delicious. We ordered the Pancake platter, the Breakfast platter and Blueberry French toast. It was so good we ordered another Pancake platter to share. My husband and daughter ordered a coffee and a Frappuccino and enjoyed them. My daughter was able to ask for a less sweet version and they were happy to help. If you’re near or in Polk City, this place is recommended. I wish I had pictures of the food but we ate everything so you get pictures of empty plates."

"Perfect mom n pops local favorites. Tiny eatery with big delicious food to full you up. Our kiddos enjoyed the play dough ice cream and delicious sandwiches. If you are in polk city this is a must stop. Bypass the national chain on the corner that try to draw you in with their fancy patio and high price. Instead, stop at Rising Sun Cafe and keep the money in the community. This place is perfect, the food is delicious and the ice cream will make your palate happy. Highly recommending this everytime you stop in polk city."

"Great little cafe with coffee shop and ice cream. Staff was great and so friendly. Our sandwiches were very good. We chose a cinnamon roll for after with coffee. This is a great place to visit. Very close to the lake and campgrounds."
