What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"Always like to try somewhere new for my steak and eggs but I won’t be coming back. Staff was nice enough but not very attentive. Food was just bad and took a long time. I’m okay waiting as I know steak can take a minute but they asked how I wanted it “medium” and it was well and eggs were just odd, English muffin burnt, and hash browns undercooked. Honestly bummed, steak was bad but i could write that off, everything else was a let down."
"I stopped in today to grab a quick breakfast while doing some work on my laptop. From the moment I walked in and was greeted with a smile, I knew I was in the right place. This is a great spot to enjoy breakfast or lunch wile enjoying some great food! The atmosphere is quiet and it is always nice to see a locally owned restaurant busy! The other thing I loved was that the staff was laughing and talking with the customers and you could tell they loved where they work and interacting with customers. I highly recommend you check this place out !"
"Tucked away in a small nondescript strip mall is this small neighborhood diner where seniors seem to come and order their standard breakfast. The entrees are your typical well portioned standard order comfort foods with reasonable prices. What caught my attention was a small handprinted sign on the door explaining the extra charge of .50 cents per egg due to high egg prices - I read about this and now I see it— at least it is an add on and can be taken away when the inflationary rates for eggs go down if that is their choice. I ordered the full order of biscuits and gravy with a side order of bacon with enough left over for dinner. The rich gravy was creamy with a plethora of small chunks of sausage, but the biscuits not as fluffy (Somewhat flat-4 biscuits). The bacon was a little over cooked, for my taste, but each piece had good flavor. The food was well seasoned. The inside decor was well worn with a homey atmosphere served by a wait staff that seemed to enjoy serving up conversation with some of their regulars— this reminds of the neighbors that enter Waveland Cafe on Polk similar set up with a delightful neighborhood vibe."
"Great breakfast! Stumbled on this gem by accident and am glad I did. Had breakfast at 9am on a Monday. They are open daily 6-1:30. Lunch also available. It's bigger than it looks from the outside. 2 separate dining areas with a mix of booths and table. Friendly staff. The only reason I chose a 4 is having to wait a really long time to get my order taken. It was busy. But I was passed over many times to serve other diners that had arrived after me. Not a deal breaker by any stretch. Just the reason I didn't do a 5 for service. Had the small breakfast platter which had an egg, 1/2 slice of ham, hashbrowns, toast. Choice of meat and bread. I added a cinnamon roll. It was all very good. The cinnamon roll was huge. Could easily share between 2 (or 3) people. All the food was cooked as I asked. Good flavor, good portions, quick delivery once I got my order in. Phenomenal price. Only $14 for that AND a cup of coffee. $14!!!!!"
"We had a wonderful breakfast here. Service was friendly and quick."
"Ordered my all time southern favorite- biscuits and gravy - the gravy was smooth and creamy with nice small chunks of sausage, but the bottom of the flat..."
