"After a quick Google search for a local coffee shop, we made our way to Fat Cup Coffee. The excellent reviews are correct, this place has amazing coffee. They roast their own beans so you know it is fresh. Espresso made the way it is supposed to be made. The owner, Ryan was attentive and spent time chatting with us during our visit. If you find yourself in Waterloo and in need of really good coffee, Fat Cup Coffee is your place!"

"Classy little coffee joint. Barista was nice, fast and knowledgeable. Coffee was well priced and great tasting. Very cozy atmosphere. Places to sit and they have a selection of board games to play. Enjoyed our visit and would definitely return and recommend to orhers."

"Opposed to chain/franchise coffee shops, we are always on the lookout for independently owned. The owner was so accommodating and informed us of the multiple options... Cows milk, almond milk, soy milk, and coconut milk available. Hot, iced, and blended coffee offered. (Almond whip cream is available as well.) Great tea menu. Live music was advertised. The establishment was so clean (as were the restrooms) and had plenty of seating. (Think: I have a lot of work to do and would love to enjoy a cup or few of coffee/tea while doing it.) Y'all... this is hands down the best coffee I've ever had. Worth exiting 218 for!"
