What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"We have liked to stop here while we are on our bike trail as the Centennial trail runs right beside it… But what I’ve discovered is they’re just an extension to the main Bakery by the Lake on Front Street. More than once now they tell me that their food products are prepared at the other store but not prepared the way the food is advertised. Today we bought 3 veggie sandwiches that were supposed to have hummus and avocado pesto on it, along with tomatoes and peppers and onions and cheese… No hummus and no avocado pesto and they just said that the sandwiches have been made by the other store and was not available to them… one employee did pull out some mashed plain but quite brown avocado, scooped it into cups and gave it to us. I would not have ordered the sandwich if they would’ve told me… $10.50 for tomatoes and onions basically. I made some statement that seems like there should be a discount if they can’t serve the sandwich as advertised… just got shrugged shoulders. Coffee so so - not hot enough. After a while, a different and nice employee brought us back the price of one sandwich and I appreciate that. It’s not her fault and she was super nice. But I probably won’t go out of my way to try to eat there again. If I want Bakery by the Lake, I’ll just go to Front Street. Or there’s that nice place on Third Street. They have good food and coffee."
"Great little Cafe being quickly discovered by locals and visitors. Right along the Centennial Trail so you can ride or drive (there's lots of bike parking!). Clean and spacious with glass roll up doors for enjoying the beautiful Coeur d'Alene Idaho weather. Great menu selection and the Paninis made on house-baked specialty bread were delish! I added some photos and I hope you enjoy it as much as we did! We love to support local businesses prospering in our beautiful North Idaho city..."
"Friendly service, good prices and wonderful food! The baked goods are fresh and oh so tasty. The salads and sandwiches are filling and great value. The coffee is very tasty and better than the other place you might go. A drive through helps if your in a hurry."
"It’s alright, nothing to write home about. Prices are decent. Pastries are average. Coffee isn’t great. Sandwiches are fine. The salted bagel is very salty. This place is running off of location alone. I put it in a similar category as McDonalds."
"Beautiful view! But their windows are dirty during winter so dress warm and get a coffee and then go for a walk ;)"
