from Google"Just moved here from Alabama and was a little worried my BBQ cravings would no longer be met...then I found the Bodacious Pig....problem solved!! This place absolutely knocks it out of the park! The service, ambiance and quality of food are HARD to beat! Everything we ordered was delicious and we can't wait to come back again and again! Do not sleep on this place...THANKS GUYS!!"
"Navigating the Construction for a Bodacious Reward 🐷🐷🐷 Today, I had a lunch meeting at Bodacious Pig Barbecue, and we were determined to get there despite the construction on Old State Street. The road work is a bit of a mess, but it’s a small price to pay to support a local business that has been an Eagle staple since 2013. The restaurant, located directly in the heart of the construction zone in front of the Old State Saloon, is a prime example of a business persevering through difficult times. Stepping inside, the aroma of slow-smoked barbecue instantly makes you forget the detours and road closures outside. We wanted to show our support and encourage others to do the same. If you're deciding where to eat this week or weekend, please make the effort to visit them. A little bit of effort on our part goes a long way in supporting the local businesses that make Eagle great."
"I'm from Kansas City and I travel a fair amount to Texas. I love BBQ and up to this point I hadn't found my go-to spot in Boise. The search is over though. Bodacious Pig would fit right in if it were transplanted to KC. They do a phenomenal job with the brisket and a decent job with the ribs. The sauce is incredible - the spicy sauce is perhaps my all time favorite anywhere. Highly recommend this place!!"
"My husband and I and our two adult children stopped in The Bodacious Pig tonight for ribs. We ordered a side of ribs, 12 chicken wings and the oink oink burger. Sides are small and serve 1-2 people-we got coleslaw, potato salad, and Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese needs sharp cheddar and possibly Gruyère because it was too bland. Coleslaw was crunchy and good. Potato salad was excellent and reminded me of my Mom’s- it had some mustard and either dill pickles and celery-yum. Chicken wings- the sauce was sweet and we didn’t care for it. The wings were good but we prefer buffalo sauce! We told the very wonderful hostess who worked very hard on a night when the restaurant was under staffed- she said she’d tell the chef. Lastly, our waitress was Alisha C and she was fantastic. She was very short started but she brought everything we asked for and we didn’t have to ask twice!! A+ for Alisha C! We will be back and we hope we get Alisha because she provided top notch h service! Thank you Bodacious Pig!!!"
"I love that this is a drive up style restaurant! The man helping me was very knowledgeable about the food y’all serve, and gave me great suggestions about what I should order. He told me about the best beef, pork, and hyped up the quality of their burgers. I went with the beef option, Tri tip sandwich. Omg, I was in love at first bite. The spicy bbq sauce is addicting and I would love to try a sandwich that is slathered in it. I can handle it ;) Also, the Mac and cheese is so delicious!!"
