What People Are Saying

"As a thriller and romance author, I’m always on the lookout for unique places to eat. I stopped by One World Café after the Moscow farmers market to enjoy a chai latte tea. I needed to just chill and watch the rain come in, and this is one of the best places to do it. The building sits on a corner, so you get two full windows of moderately active streets. I’ve written many chapters in my thriller fiction books here. It just has the perfect ambience for that activity. The chai latte was good and served in a recyclable cup with the usual Solo lid to keep my drink warm. They have a nice bakery display case with muffins, croissants, cookies, and cinnamon buns. The music selection is definitely eclectic. Not Top 40 at all. It adds to the ambience without being too distracting. It makes it so you can’t easily hear other people’s conversations without being obtrusive. There is a stage where bands can play. It’s a neat stylized wave shape. I don’t know how that actually works for bands in case you fall off the stage, but it is unique. It’s not just a block. It gives the interior a more natural and organic feel. The two baristas behind the counter were super nice and took my order immediately and courteously. It wasn’t but a minute or two before I had my drink and was ready to sit down. I chose this nice wooden plank bar by the window so I could watch the world go by as I work on my next thriller book. I enjoy getting out of the house to do some of my best writing because I can get out of my head. Places like One World Café are perfect for that. There is also a mezzanine upstairs where there are at least four tables by the railing to have a bird’s-eye view of the landscape. The old-school attic brace ceiling is pretty fascinating to look at. There’s also a mannequin torso hanging over the light fixture above the music stage. Definitely a neat little detail. They have live plants in many locations in the building to give the place a more organic and natural feel. I really enjoy that so it doesn’t have the sterile feeling of other locations."

"★ Skip it. Not worth the napkin. ★★ Only if desperate. Starving, lost, or snowing sideways. ★★★ Forgettable. Safe bar food, like warm socks from a bargain bin. ★★★★ Worth returning. Solid, dependable, no regrets. ★★★★★ The reason you go. Crave-worthy, intentional, makes you pause—how did they make that? One World Café — ★★★½ One World Café lands just above a three. Call it a solid 3.5. The food is good, reasonably priced, and filling, but nothing has jumped out at me as “I need to go back and get that again.” The place has a strong hippie college vibe, which makes sense given its proximity to the University of Idaho, and it clearly works for its crowd. I’ve had several of their sandwiches over time, and while none were memorable, they were all fair for the price. That’s probably their strongest card: good value. I don’t often frequent places that lean heavily into political messaging, and I find it unfortunate when support goes toward large national movements rather than staying focused on the real people affected locally. That said, the food itself stands on its own merits, and the pricing makes it an easy, low-risk stop. One World Café isn’t destination dining, but it’s decent, affordable, and dependable enough to earn a spot just north of forgettable."

"We ate breakfast here on Sunday and were among the first customers. We had four vegetarian breakfast burritos, a fruit croissant, a drip coffee and two lattes (one with oat milk). Everything was very good. I was a little concerned at first because the burritos are not cooked to order and I like my burritos HOT (in temperature). They were hot enough, yay! They were a little too heavy on the potato for our son, and because they're not fresh-made the tortillas were a teeny bit soggy, but overall I would still give them a 4 out of 5. The drip coffee and lattes were very good, as was the croissant. We will be back if we're in the area again. Service was very friendly, and the all-gender bathroom was clean and spacious."

"Best hangout spot just about ever. You can order one coffee and hang out with friends or build puzzles or watch baseball all day. I regularly meet with ydsa members here. Their drinks are amazing. I liked the pretzels, but haven't gotten much of a meal."

"Exactly what we like in a locally owned coffee stop. Great laidback atmosphere with hip art and music. People buzzing with directional energy. Knowledgeable staff and great service. Our cappuccinos were delightful. The outside seating area was so warm and inviting on a chilly spring day, completely out of the wind with southern exposure made it feel like summer even though the trees haven’t yet budded."

"One World is beautiful inside with plenty of seating. I saw they have live music which I am hoping to go to soon. The food was delicious, and I like how..."
