What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"Food looks good but it wasn't great or awesome, just ok. Fries a bit dry and little bit cold, burger ok. Don't want to hate or anything just my review. Root/cinnamon beer was good though. Good location and plenty parking spots"
"They seated us early vs our reservation as we didn’t care if we sat at the bar area or the restaurant area. We should have waited, our bartender was more of a server than the server. Even the bartender was confused why we hadn’t ordered our food yet. When she did come around we found out that the prices on their site were not the same as in the store. They said they haven’t been updated in a while but they had a brand new advertisement for their New Years celebration. Long story short, my 11 year old daughter says I cook better steak than they do. For $40 on a prime rib it had a lot to be desired. And no she didn’t order from the kids menu as they don’t have steak and we were there for her birthday and that’s what she wanted. Everyone else ordered fish and it was good. The atmosphere was good and it’s a really cool place to see but don’t order the steak."
"We tried to go to the Kindlmarket, which was insanely crowded so we landed up here. We had been here a lifetime ago when it was Walter Payton‘s place. (So yes, it’s been a long time 😳). We had an awesome appetizer of garlic cheese curds. I adore root beer and tried my first cinnamon root beer. It was not my cup of tea, but I could see how folks like it. We both had burgers that were yummy. The atmosphere was Christmas festive and just overall fun."
"We arrived fairly early for dinner. The initial service was very good, and the food came quickly. The stout beer is excellent, and the fall salad is very good. Everyone liked their meals . Unfortunately, the service fell off very quickly after the restaurant started filling with customers. It was obvious that our nice waitress was not able to cover all of the tables adequately. We waited over 15 minutes for our dessert, then had to start asking bus staff to help us get our check. It took 20+ minutes to get the tab. The restaurant is very nicely decorated for the holidays."
"Mixed review here. The building is amazing and worth the trip. Service was slow to get to us. The outdoor patio quaint enough not to notice the slow service. The waitress seemed annoyed we were ready to order. Potato leek soup was delicious. The Caesar salad was uninspired. The cheese curds were just ok, we didn't even finish them. My biggest complaint is the $17 "jumbo" wings that were anything but jumbo (see posted pictures of what 20 dollars gets you for wings). They were tiny boney wings. We got the dry rub which is a little sweeter than expected, and the wings were really tasty but at over 2 dollars per wing, it was anything but a good deal. The building is great, the patio is great but has very invasive flies that land in your food and water and crawl in your clothing. Summary: prices and service need some work."
"Great place. Got to chat with one of the ones. Good people. From out of town but hope we make it back again someday."
