"We visited the establishment on Sunday for brunch. The music was loud, the game was on and birthday parties were in full effect. We tried a series of dishes, as we wanted to try several items on the menu. We ordered lamb chops, salmon croquettes, shrimp, and grits, mac & cheese grits and Gouda. While the food was quite tasty. Our server was just OK. The total bill for our party of 2 with 18% gratuities was a bit high. The most troubling thing for us was watching one of the female hostesses/waitresses go back-and-forth into the men’s restroom to talk to a man who appeared to be a friend of hers …on several occasions we watched other men go into the restroom and be taken aback by seeing a woman in there. She did it several times , but what really turned our stomachs was watching her go from table to table greeting customers and then she walked behind the bar several times as well and made drinks for other customers. We never saw her washing her hands at all. We continued to watch her as she went in the back area where the food was being prepared. this was after we had received our food and as you can imagine we were thoroughly disgusted. 🤢"

"The food is really delicious. Every meal we had was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. I really suggest the Jerk Chicken egg-roll, the meat was tender and flavorful. The restaurant was clean and welcoming, and the decor added to the overall cultural atmosphere. Hands down, some of the most delicious food I've eaten lately!"

"Great Appetizer had Jerk Egg Rolls, Entree was Surf n Turf with Mac n cheese and Yams, great Ambiance all around, plenty of places for photo opps and Drinks. Wasn't packed for the evening on a Saturday but very busy. Barmaids very attentive accurate and polite. Server was great very knowledgeable about the entrees and menus. Next time I'll get lambchops. Not bad for a first time visit."

"I changed my review due to the service received yesterday 1/10/26. My friends and I got there about 930ish. We were sat right away. Our waitress was Jay. She look like she was the only server on the floor at least on the side we were sitting. Service was very slow and lack luster. It took at least 45 mins to get our food. Mind you it wasn't crowded. So perhaps they were short a cook and down to one stove, I don't know. There was no communication when the wait. We ordered fries lobster tail with grits, the ora lee, I ordered mine with grits instead of rice and was not told there would be a charge for the substitution. My other friend ordered the chicken philly skillet. My grits came out cold and my friends skillet had broccoli and carrots in it and the wrong cheese. She specifically asked for American cheeses. Jay repeated back correctly. The kitchen decided to do their own thing. The chicken philly has no broccoli or carrots in it and it states that on the menu. Again service was slow, Jay disappeared. My friend decided to eat some of the food because we already waited 45 mins for the food, no one ever came back to the table until about 20ins later. We asked to speak to the manager and it's clear he doesn't know the menu because he stood there and lied to us and said ALL the skillets come that way. LIES.....it is written on the menu the chicken philly had red and green peppers, onions, and mushrooms. Now the veggie skillet has broccoli in it. He was very argumentative about the situation. Kept asking if it was wrong why didn't we say something. He was not willing to take the food off or even a discount after I explained to him we didn't send it back because we didn't see anyone to tell. After telling him twice service was SLOW. In the end he said he wasn't taking it off because it had been eating. In all actuality my friend picked thru the food because it wasn't what she ordered. I will not be back because of this service. This is from 12/25-Large restaurant great for large groups and parties. I went for breakfast and service was great. I had the salmon corquettes for breakfast with my eggs over medium. This is the 1 place I have been to that actually got my over medium eggs correct. The salmon was seasoned perfectly. My only complaint was my rice was room temp not hot at all. No I didn't send it back because I was able to deal with it. I was that hungry."

"Outstanding service at Sunrise Cafe! I had an amazing experience at Sunrise Cafe, and a huge part of that was the two bartenders (Faye and Netta) working while I was there. Their service was absolutely top-tier — prompt, attentive, and genuinely friendly from start to finish. They never missed a beat: drinks came out quickly, everything was made perfectly, and they were always checking in without being intrusive. You could tell they really care about the guest experience and take pride in what they do. Even when things got busy, they stayed calm, professional, and incredibly efficient.
