"Great history and nice atmosphere, but the food is disappointing. Pancake batter is basic, blueberries frozen, and the coffee tastes like Folgers. My son’s granola was the only decent dish. They try to be upscale, but in the Gold Coast you expect more than bland, non-organic food."

The restaurant has a cozy feel with a hint of vintage charm and a nice mix of people that makes it feel welcoming. When I saw Chilaquiles on the menu, I was hesitant—this isn’t a Mexican restaurant, and I’m pretty particular about Mexican dishes since I grew up in a Mexican household. But I decided to give them a try, and wow—I was blown away. They were so, so good. Big shoutout to the cooks and chef who made this dish. I’m already looking forward to coming back for the Chilaquiles!"
