What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"Carver 47 calms my nervous system and motivates me to get my work done at the same time. The staff is friendly, patient, and attentive. The atmosphere is calm and productive. People are focused on their work independently and also meet in small groups to eat and talk but everyone seems mindful of volume level. This is helpful to me since I get distracted easily by groups that talk really loudly 😅. The playlist is fire and the food and the products to purchase- amazing. I went earlier this week and had a green smoothie and it was smooth, filling, and fresh. I went back today and had a vanilla oatmilk latte that was made to perfection. They asked if I wanted my coffee and food for here or to go and that was helpful to be able to decide. I ordered the breakfast burrito with the homemade chicken sausage and don’t believe me- go taste for yourself that it is flavored SO well. The ingredients are the perfect combination-the chef is talented. I warmed up the other half for dinner at home and it was still delicious. Lastly-the products. It was nice to walk around and see the products. There are a lot of cute and well made products-from jams to soaps, that will make nice gifts so I plan to purchase some of those too. Overall-they meant business when they said food and wellness- it’s a vibe for sure."
"While visiting from Connecticut, we stopped by Carver 47 Food and Wellness Market in Chicago and it was one of the highlights of our trip. The food great, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was one of the best. Truly appreciate its tribute to George Washington Carver. It’s great because it sparks a meaningful conversation at the table about his impact. Highly recommend this space it’s more than a meal, it’s a cultural experience rooted in wellness, history, and community. The Biscuits were real good."
"Beautiful space, phenomenal food. We got the breakfast bowl with mushrooms (a blend of cremini and porcini), the breakfast sandwich with chicken sausage on a biscuit, the winter shortcake, and two lattes. The wait was short and everything was absolutely delicious. As for the real star of the meal… Do NOT sleep on the winter shortcake!! It comes with a fresh fruit compote that has very little sweetness added, bringing out a tartness that pairs wonderfully with the sweetened mascarpone. But the absolute standout is the biscuit. I’m from the South and I think this is the best biscuit I’ve had away from home. Crisp on the outside, fluffy and moist on the inside, buttery rather than greasy, sliced open and perfectly toasted, I almost (almost) hated to top it with anything. That was until I let the fruit juice soak in and… wow. What a combo. Don’t miss it!"
"Truly a GEM to frequent. A nice cozy place to do some work or meet up with friends while enjoying a cup of coffee, tea, juices and food. Coffee was good didn't taste watered down like some places, they can also warm your creamer that's a plus for me. I had the Carver platter comes with a mix of berries(blue, rasp & straw)very good. Great music selection playing in background not too loud. Love the decor, light fixtures, art murals on wall very cohesive. The other side through the double doors have additional seating, couch area, tables and bar stools. They sell wellness items, essential oils, cookbooks, beautiful flowers and many other items. Go check them out, worth it!!"
"What a total delight! This catfish sandwich just might be the most savory I’ve ever enjoyed. The fresh and wholesome juices are energizing and appetizing, and the atmosphere and pleasant staff truly make Carver 47 “a destination”! I haven’t even mentioned the elegant body care selections, as well as condiments and teas. Do yourself a solid and check it out. You’re welcome!"
