"Of course student-run/university coffee shops go through phases of being better and worse based on who is running it (hence these very mixed reviews), but the current phase of Cobb as of 2025 at least is phenomenal from my perspective! The staff are all very friendly and helpful, there's a wide array of drinks from coffee to tea (I had very excellent honey tea today, AND delicious and inexpensive focaccia!!) and so far the baked goods are divine! I also appreciated the well-curated music and experiencing such a chill, kind of grungy and alternative artsy space within a fancy and historic university. This is now my go to homework spot on campus!"

"My favourite coffee shop on campus. Haven't actually had the coffee, but they have the largest tea selection around and their food selection is wonderful—I particularly love the vegan chocolate chip cookies, and they also have lots of dishes from De Rice, Snail Thai, Soul Vegan, Rajun Cajun, The Nile, etc. Sometimes their music gets a little loud and confusing but most of the time I really enjoy every song."

"We held a non profit board meeting here, and it worked out very well. We drank a truly ludicrous amount of coffee! Great art, great atmosphere, great looking cheese plate (can't comment on the taste as I'm a vegan). Will definitely go back next time I'm in Chicago!"
