"These other reviewers are insane. This place is really good. The sandwich is not lacking flavor, it's a great bagel, it tastes like a great bagel, it has crunch and squish, and the right amount of salt. No clue how this place has 3.8 stars. There's not an available seat in here, and there's hardly any standing room from people waiting. And it is not a long wait. And the price is not bad at all. And considering what $20 will usually buy you, which is not this, as I can't ever recall purchasing a delicious bagel and a uniquely curated and individual coffee experience such as this.¹ And the pickle is vaguely almost like a light-pickle, like some Asian styles of pickles. It's not as sharply vinegar forward in the distilled-white vinegar sharp way we experience so often as the brine experience in the US. This place is an experience of the world. "The bagels are super yummy and there’s a lot of great options! I got the spicy sausage and egg one and it was delish !! Not a ton of seating but they give the bagels in to go bags so it’s easy to take with you. They also have good coffee if you go on a cold day!"

"Got a lox and cream cheese sandwich on a sesame bagel with vegan scallion cream cheese. This place shares a storefront with Gino’s pizza and has a small seating area. Service was quick and the bagel was good, although it could’ve used slightly more cream cheese. Recommend if you’re in the area and need a quick bite."

"I would easily consider bagels to be one of my favorite foods, and going to grab an iced latte and a fun bagel flavor is one of my favorite ways to spend a Sunday morning - so when I heard that the Gotham Bagels South Loop location was open, I knew I had to check it out! Gotham Bagels has been on my list for a LONG time, and it definitely did not disappoint! We tried a couple of their specialty sandwiches along with a classic sweet bagel to round it all out! My absolute FAVORITE from the meal was the Brighton Beach - the smoked salmon was perfect, the ratio of ingredients was incredible, and the flavor of the everything bagel tied everything together! I’d highly recommend checking out the South Loop Gotham Bagels location!"
