from Google"Came here on a Saturday night around 6pm. We ate outside (2 of us) and it was cold but the heat lamp did work! The food was all vegetarian or vegan, we started with the cauliflower wings. They were delicious, juicy, and sweet all at the same time. And it came with a green vegan ranch, incredible. I could have drank it (lol). For my meal I got the Nashville hot chicken sandwich which was made with Hen of the Woods mushrooms and it was good. Not moist enough and not enough mushroom but good. My partner got a sloppy joe and Mac and cheese, he said it was “messy and nostalgic”. He enjoyed it. I also got a White Russian with a vegan cream and it was okay. My partner got a Bloody Mary and said it was very good. The service was so slow, it was an hour to get the food and another hour to pay. But the staff were nice."
"Delicious! Good pub fare, plenty of interesting southwest-inspired entrées and a full brunch (or breakfast) menu! The chili was praised highly, and I can personally recommend the burger. There's a hip punk aesthetic to the dining room, open-air kitchen, and a nice long bar with seating. Best of all, nearly the whole menu comes vegan by default (except a small fish section) with dairy options available."
"Great place to eat when you go to lunch with a vegetarian when you, yourself, are not one! Handlebar caters primarily to vegetarians and they have a great menu to chose from. My go to? The seared tuna. Large piece of tuna lightly seared on both sides with perfectly toasted bread, tomato, and alfalfa sprouts. Overall a great sandwich! Wife went with the Buffalo "chicken" wrap and she loves it! Super flavorful with the perfect amount of spice. Fries came out crispy and hot and were really tasty too. Went on a busy day and got our food pretty quickly. 100% recommend!"
"I'm vegetarian and a wanna be vegan so I'm always looking to try a nice, new spot. This was not far from our rental and hit the spot. The entire staff that we interacted with was extremely friendly and helpful. There were a lot of options and a good variety of options for vegans. And the atmosphere on the back patio was perfect for a family dinner setting. Food was good except my family wasn't big fans of the greens."
"This may be my last straw. This place has been a great option for vegans. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and it is open pretty late. The food has always been pretty good, however it is a dive bar type of vibe so you know what to expect as far as services standards. Servers and service is not always the cleanest but the food is pretty decent. I’ve always been a little skeptical about the cleanliness in the kitchen because of this and today has proved me right. My partner and I ordered breakfast for take out, and midway through my meal, I found a piece of tangled hair hanging from my fork. Initially I thought it could have been a spider but after examining and pulling it off, we literally heard the hair breaking off. I called the restaurant to inform them and the person who answered the phone(I believe the host) was really nice and apologetic but when she gave the phone to the manager, he didn’t really seem to care at all. He did offer and processed a refund but he did not seem to care about this issue or was not apologetic at all. This makes me never want to support this place again."
