The beignets are the real deal — not the donut-style imposters you see at some Chicago restaurants. Anyone who actually knows what a proper beignet should be will appreciate how on point Junebug’s are: light, airy, and authentically prepared. I also tried the meat pie and the gumbo, and both were very good — flavorful, comforting, and clearly made with care. Between the food and the vibe, Junebug Café is absolutely worth checking out."

"Holy cow, I’ve never had a meat pie like this. So flavorful and filled to the brim with juicy meat, with a sauce that’s the perfect accompaniment. All washed down with a chicory coffee cold brew - so good. Came here to get some work done on my laptop and couldn’t resist trying something from the menu, everything smelled so good. Glad I did! Can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu."
