What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"Food is absolutely delicious and lives up to their reputation. I enjoyed the Brie and caramelized onion croissant sandwich very much. My iced maple latte was good, but I couldn’t taste any maple in it, more like a plain latte. Still yummy though. Service was a bit slow but the team was working hard so it appears they may be understaffed. My coffee took over ten mins to come out but I wasn’t in a hurry so not a big worry on my end but something to remember that this isn’t a great option if you’re in a hurry or want a quick coffee to go. Additionally, the tables were not cleared well. I had to wipe down the chairs and table I chose from the previous occupants’ croissants (hey they’re flakey, I get it!) but the floor was covered in crumbs and food as well, and the tables were very sticky. Another issue that probably can be solved with more staffing, and I don’t hold it against them. All in all, delicious! And the team was kind and attentive so I hope they get the help they need soon."
"This place was absolutely amazing. We couldn’t find it at first, but you enter through a gate and there is pretty garden. The food was wonderful and the aesthetic is 10/10!!"
"I really want to love this place because the food is so delicious and they have an interesting menu. But it's the slowest cafe in Chicago. I don't think it's the fault of the staff, it seems like they juggle too much. There's someone trying to take orders and make coffee, someone else trying to make baked goods and also coffee's and then these same people also take the drinks out to customers. The end result, a simple 2 drink order takes 10-15 mins. This has happened to me multiple times. You guys either need more staff or a different workflow."
"I ordered the Nordic breakfast sandwich which is essentially a croissant with salmon, eggs, greens and mustard. It wasn't mind blowing flavorful but it was good. I also ordered the peanut butter and jelly macaroon. Overall I recommend the spot for a good last minute light bite. The sandwich and macaroon cost $18 and it was not very big. The value for the price I paid was poor. But it is a nice restaurant that seems to be carved from an old home with lots of treats to buy. Very French."
"The brie/onion/arugula/egg criossant is actually magnificent! If I have a breakfast sandwich and it's not THIS, I don't want it! I ate this thing saying Mmmm....MMM! the whole time! I had to deduct a star for the moist yet dry croissant bread pudding. It needed syrup, more sugar, and def more cinnamon! It was like a boring brick of carbs. Also I love matcha but there's had awful reviews so that's a pity. Just get the criossant!"
"Easy ordering online and quick pickup. The pastries are delicious and every time I miss Anthony Bourdain, which is often, I come to get the Parisian ham..."
