"My boyfriend and I came to the restaurant and were welcomed by Mike and his staff. Since it was our first time there they greeted us with welcome shots which is coconut rum drink (cant remember the name). It was creamy and sweet with a bang from the rum. Needless to say, it was decision. We ordered the chancleta and pollo loco. My favorite was the chancleta with a spicy kick that hit the spot. I was surprised with the pollo loco since it had mayo and ketchup and I don’t usually eat either condiment but this was a hit. Staff was super friendly and welcoming. You can tell a lot of the patrons are regulars and that says a lot about the employees and the environment. We will most certainly be returning and can’t wait to try other items on the menu. We spent approx $37 for two sandwiches and two drinks."

"Food was great but price was high for carryout. Food was made and delivered in a good amount of time. Place is too small, only a handful of tables and bar seating. Lots of talking, TV was loud. People at the bar and tables seemed to be enjoying themselves. Couldn't find a table to sit with spouse and enjoy a meal quietly. Took food home; food was delicious!"

"Service was awesome the ladies here are so helpful and patients. Got the Chancleta sandwich. Roast beef, pastrami on panini bread and the salchichon soup also amazing but they said they only have it on Saturday and Sunday definitely coming back"

"Terrible customer service. Definitely don’t recommend for new comers, had to watch how we were singled out and made grab our food from the counter while everyone else was served at their table. Tone was also different when taking our order, I don’t know if it was because we aren’t puerto rican but as we were leaving another couple who wasn’t puerto rican walked and were treated the same way. Blank expression while ordering and made walk up to counter for the food. Definitely not coming back & had I known we were going to be treated this way i wouldn’t have spent my $40. Bad food rating because food doesn’t taste good when you’re treated like that."

"Such a great sandwich shop. I had a sandwich called "The Joint" which comes with salami and thinly sliced fried spam. It was delicious! My husband tried "The Chancleta" and also enjoyed it. The vibe felt warm and cozy. Prices are very fair and the prtions are very filling. The ladies working there are very personable and make you feel like family. We're already looking forward to going back so we can try their quesitos. They also have a liquors license."
