"This cafe has a wonderful interior with a lot of seating options. I am a fan of Filipino cafes and was excited to try this one out. I ordered the ube matcha, and they were out of the mango and strawberry matcha. I’m unsure if this is because I went on a Saturday at 10:30a.m., but they may be out of certain flavors. The latte had a mild flavor of both ube and matcha, and if that’s what you’re looking for then I recommend trying it out! If not, then try a different Filipino cafe in Chicago. I didn’t get a chance to try the food, and was honestly a bit confused by the menu. I wish they had the food menu also posted instead of a QR code to ease the process of looking at options. I did not realize they had other food options besides baked goods until after I ordered and looked online. Also, there was some confusion about what baked goods were available bc they were crossed out on the menu (see photo) but the cashier told me they had everything available, including the banana bread, until she checked in the back. Overall, had an okay experience here."

"We got a variety of silogs, rice bowls, and lumpias for takeout. They were all delicious. We were a party of 10 and essentially sampled everything from our order. I wish we tried them fresh while they were still hot. Even my vegetarian friend really enjoyed the vegan chorizo rice bowl, which I appreciated their vegetarian/vegan options. We got the huge order picked up right before dinner, and the staff were very friendly!"

"5/5 stars After marrying into a Filipino family, my mother-in-law has introduced me to so many delicious Filipino dishes that I'm now hooked and always looking to try more authentic Filipino cuisine. Mano Modern Cafe definitely delivers on that front! We ordered through DoorDash and everything arrived very hot and incredibly tasty. The flavors reminded me of the wonderful food my mother-in-law makes for me at home. The quality and authenticity really stood out. There are quite a few Filipino restaurants in the Fulton Market area (Mano Modern might technically be more West Town, but close enough), and this place is definitely one of the best. The food was fantastic and the whole experience was great. If you're looking to try Filipino cuisine or you're already a fan like me, definitely give Mano Modern Cafe a shot. "Lovely staff to start , the place is small luckily we were first comers that day. We had their coffee which was amazing! I love sweet coffee so if you enjoy sweet coffee then you will like this one. Also the Ube tiramisu is delicious. Breakfast Sandwiches were small in size so make sure to order more than one, the breakfast bowl was lovely and tasteful. overall lovely visit I would come there again"

"The vegetarian breakfast burrito with Impossible sausage was incredible. Would come back just for that. The iced chai was also delicious. Workers were friendly and the service was prompt. The music was at a good level. Mix of people having conversations and people working on laptops. Only critique of the atmosphere is that some of the tables are harder to reach because of the layout, and I wish the cushions on the bench were a little thicker. But honestly, still comfier than the seating most cafes have on offer. One flag is that this is not an ideal setup for someone who has limited mobility and difficulty with stairs, as the bar where you order is up a set of stairs. But if you ordered from your phone I’m sure the workers would accommodate and bring your order down."
