What People Are Saying
from Google"We were very lucky to have found METRIC when visiting the Logan Square/ Avondale neighborhood of Chicago! I ordered a vanilla latte and would have to say it was extremely well made, flavorful, and plentiful. The cinnamon bun also was delicious. The overall pricing was in-line with other coffee establishments. The venue has a great vibe with ample seating, a variety of decor, and the ability to see the "work areas" where the coffee appears to be processed/ground. There was a mix of moms with kids and people using this coffee spot to check their email, etc. I am so glad to have found METRIC and am looking forward to revisiting during return trips to Chicago."
"stopped here right as they were opening before we got back on the road and it was a beauty for sure. the decor, the vibe, the slow peaceful aesthetic it gave, very calming. service great, coffee great, decent variety on pastries. definitely a wonderful spot."
"Stopped there yesterday randomly after a local competitor closed at noon. The barista was very pleasant and happy to take my simple large mocha order. it was made perfect and tasted delicious. i sat outside and enjoyed my cup while also enjoying the free smells of them roasting coffee. Great place. I really enjoyed. TY"
"A local coffee shop owner in Des Moines and a friend recommended Metric to me and my husband. We love it and come whenever we are in Chicago. Today we had the Maize Mocha special (again) and shared a scallion pastry and passion fruit monkey bread. We want to go back to get these items again now. The coffee, pastries and service are all beyond fantastic! There is no public restroom or indoor seating. The outdoor seating is nice when weather allows. I think street parking is usually easier on the weekend as this is an industrial area."
"It’s a cute café with a nice outdoor space. The menu is limited and a bit pricey, but overall, it was a good experience. I probably wouldn’t go back, just because I’ve had similar quality at better prices and with more variety, but it’s definitely worth trying once. I visited in the afternoon and it wasn’t too crowded, but since the indoor space is quite small, there was a line of people behind me waiting to order."
