"I started coming here around two years ago, I used to love it, raved about it to my roommates and friends, came every single day to work. My biggest issue back then was how unreliable the internet was, but the old employees used to try to get it to work for me. Now they just say "yeah its not that good because people upstairs use it". If it weren't for the drinks I like there and the late hours, I would probably never come here again. Since the new ownership started, the entire cafe itsself is completely unreliable. I'll be excited to start my day with my favorite drink, only to show up (in the freezing cold) to the store being closed for no apparent reason. I wouldve stayed home if I knew they were closed, ie it wasnt posted online, I started checking after the first time this happened to me. The music is constantly too loud now, I can hear it over my own loud music in my headphones, or during my class lectures. Owners do not seem to care about their customers, and same for the workers. I used to be known by name, had friendly conversations with employees and managers. None of them work here anymore, I can understand why. I'm dissapointed almost everytime I come here. Sometimes they've even played some very loud rap music, I enjoy rap a lot, but not when im trying to work in a nice quite cafe environment. Really missing the way things used to be here, it was a great neighborhood cafe. Two stars because at least they have yummy creative drinks. I usually only come now when I'm having a hard time staying awake while working from home, they're the only cafe open, or if im craving the mango matcha. Really disappointing in all honesty. I barely ever leave reveiws but I felt the need to leave one here as I really hope this review enlightens the owners and improvements are made because I truly used to enjoy coming and spending my money here. It was always worth it to me. Now, not so much. Went from being a happy regular to just praying it's open and the wifi actually works. Do you know how frustrating it is to finally be able to start your work day and you cant even get online?? Then you have to find somewhere else or go back home, and now i'm late for work."

"This place has been here 2 years (it’s 5/25/2025) and the location is amazing for anything Asian from a seventeen (K-pop) pop up store to Japanese food to Thai or Korean and Chinese and lots of boba places and a Japanese cafe with yummy honey toast with ice cream at OMI. So you will love the area and you will love this place OMI! They have free WiFi, amazing and fun dessert and boba teas, and a bilevel area for additional seating. It’s so quiet and the music is not obnoxiously loud. In fact it’s like a low volume background noise that’s calming. I really hate places that blast music so this kind of goes with the motif and culture of anything Japanese which is ultra respectful and quiet and reserved. Alice was super sweet and friendly and just a cool girl. It was so nice talking to her and the desserts were so good."

"OMI Cafe had incredible french toast, the matcha ice cream with it was 10/10. The portion size is sharable which explains the pricing. There is plenty of seating available. There is paid street parking."

"I had their chochoc strawberry matcha latte which was delicious! Definitely satiated the sweet cravings today. My friend and I also got an Omi matcha toast which was marvelous too. It’s definitely carb and sugar heavy with hefty scoops of ice cream! The ambience is lovely. They have a small second floor that’s secluded. It’s a nicer spot to be productive. There was a bit of a delay on my friend’s drink. They didn’t notice for some reason, but I did observe multiple people order the strawberry matcha latte. We waited for around 30 minutes in between asking if it would be ready soon. As compensation, they provided a cup of strawberry matcha soft serve (it was ALSO delicious)😅. I would suggest getting a receipt and keep an eye out for your order when they are busier. Regardless, I definitely would visit again!"
