What People Are Saying

"Designer Heaven! Interiors, food, vibe, people, everything is made so that you interact purposefully with your surroundings. Our cashier was so pleasantly welcoming, I ordered a latte with earl grey syrup and a mortadella toastie. So delicious!! Overall delightful experience, I would love to try more from the menu and hope to come in when they have DJ’s playing music. I loved the workers uniform, logo, and menu. They really sell you the entire fantasy at this cafe, I can’t recommend enough!"

"Postcard in the West Loop feels like stepping into a modern Spanish café. The coffee was spot on, the food was excellent, and to my surprise, they even had Torres Iberian Ham chips the same ones I used to have back in Spain. That little detail instantly took me back. Beautiful design, sunlight everywhere, and a calm energy that makes you want to stay a while. Definitely one of the best new coffee spots in Chicago."

"I went to this cafe purely for their aesthetics and decorations. The food and drinks were an afterthought truly. My first impression when I walked in was “Woah it’s very narrow and small.” There were many bodies, but not enough seats. This was on a Wednesday afternoon. I also found out that the cafe is connected to a luggage store next door. I believe it might be the same owner as Postcard (as it has similar aesthetics and layout). The barista was preoccupied for a bit before I got to order anything. There were only 3 staff that I could see out front so it was understandable having to wait when they’re full. I ordered the Tamago Sandwich and Matcha latte for about $35 plus taxes and tip. I thought the sandwich was gonna be a little bigger considering the price they had it for. However, the egg mixture on top was really airy and light so it was enjoyable even for a small portion. The mayo they used is a little different from regular mayo. I can tell that they used Kewpie mayo and whipping it to incorporate air into the eggs; giving the filling that fluffy, airy texture. Next, their matcha is standard. Nothing too crazy, not bad, but wasn’t blown away. Overall, I would go again just to try more of their sandwiches :)"

"I enjoyed my hot hojicha drink but the aesthetic vibes here are even better. The atmosphere is immaculate. It's also rare to find a cafe that is still open late afternoon or even later. Plus they still have cafe drinks on menu during the late afternoon / early evening hours too. What a gem find! I would love to come back!"

"Loved the atmosphere, service, and the intentionality of this space, which to me came through the most in their approach to matcha. I almost *never* buy matcha out because 1) nine times out of ten, cafes makes it incorrectly (they use too hot water and burn the matcha therefore cancelling out its benefits, don't whisk it properly and leave it clumpy, etc), 2) use poor quality matcha, 3) they overcharge customers for the quantity of matcha they actually serve, and 4) I enjoy making it at home. However, I had a free drink coupon to Postcard and when it was my turn to order, I saw their matcha-making station right by the register and was impressed. They had the proper tools (bamboo whisk, sifter, etc), good quality, bright green matcha powder, AND two kettles with to-the-degree temperature control (aka they weren't just using the boiling water that comes from their espresso machines). So, I decided to give it a try and l am so glad I did!! My matcha latte was perfectly smooth, not at all bitter or gritty, and had such a delicate, natural sweetness. I will absolutely be back to reorder and am thrilled to have finally found a cafe that prepares its matcha in the way it's intended to be made. I hope proper preparation continues to be honored even during peak busy times!"

"This place is super cute with a mix of aesthetic vibes that make it perfect for photos. There isn't a ton of seating, but the food and drinks more than make..."
