from Google"If I could leave 10 stars, I would. Context- I did not have high hopes because i have had a hard time trying to find a play cafe truly suitable for a younger child (10 months) 🥲 many cafes have spaces designed for babies and toddlers, but don’t really have anything in place to prevent older children running unattended in these areas, and feels stressful and hazardous. I was so pleasantly surprised with my experience here. Though it may seem smaller- they make excellent use of the space. They have a train structure, a wooden climbing and slide structure, reading area, seating, train table, books, and more. I came in the morning and everything looked clean, organized, and well kept. The area for babies is enclosed using furniture so it feels safe even when the older children are running freely. They have baby books, small soft play blocks, and other miscellaneous baby specific toys. They have a quiet room equipped with a rocking chair for feeding babies or children who may get overstimulated that need some peace and quiet. Bathrooms are clean, come equipped with changing tables and even emergency diapers and wipes if a parent forgets or runs out. I didn’t order food or drink, but everything looked delicious and they seem to have a wide variety of options. They have seating and high chair(s) available. I will definitely be ordering next time and update my review. Parking is easy and convenient right in front, it’s a small shared lot with other businesses. On their website they say the lot across the street is available for use if it ever gets full. They also do birthday parties and have information pamphlets readily available at the front for parents to take home. All in all, I was very happy with my experience at Sunny Village Cafe. I would highly recommend for any parent whose child prefers a calmer environment or parents with toddlers and babies who would like to explore a play cafe without any concerns for safety. This space truly feels like it was designed by parents for parents, they have really thought of all the little details necessary for a great experience with children."
"I take my twins here often with our family membership. Definitely worth it if you are going a few times a week. The manager is very sweet and helpful. She works really hard to maintain the cafe/play space so it’s organized and clean. The owner is lovely and always warm and welcoming when we see her. Would love to see some new toys or puzzles etc. added even just like a few more baby dolls since sometimes they are being used by other kids when there is a lot of kids at once. Or like maybe a toy rotation type of thing so that there is newer things for the families that come often to keep the kids engaged and excited. Would be amazing to see additional plant based/vegan options on the menu too for families that don’t do egg/dairy/honey etc. I find often that I would love to stay longer and purchase lunch for the kids but it’s a bit difficult with the options that are currently available. (Not trying to be nit picky, just more of a suggestion next time there are menu updates) I love how eco-friendly the cafe is with reusable mugs/cups/plates/forks & spoons. The reusable sandals to wear that are washed after each use is nice too. There is a separate pair for the bathrooms so that germs from the bathroom are not spread around which is very mindful and we really appreciate. We love the cafe so much and hope more people support this family owned business!"
"We love Sunny Village! It is a perfect play place for little kids (5 and under I think is ideal). The space is very clean, cozy and welcoming, the staff is friendly, and it is our go to place to get out of the house in winter!"
"Quaint and chill play cafe. It’s awesome that they have a food menu and quiet/nursing room. If I lived closer I’d visit all the time!"
"I brought my 20mo old granddaughter here and had the best time! The play areas are perfect and very clean. Small enough to keep an eye on the little ones. The cafe was a nice surprise. So many teas, coffees and treats. Really just a pleasure to be at all around. Needless to say she was exhausted and ready for a nap after, which is another added benefit for grandma, cuz she needs a nap now too!"
