"Interesting place. Went for lunch on a friday without reservation and it was busy but we managed to get a table. Place decoration is very nice and clean. We ordered the chicken soup and the beef entree. Both were excellent. The beef was tender, great flavor, and the “bread” around it was delicious. We also had black tea and a coffee and were also good. I gave it 4 stars and not five because the beef dish arrived around 5 minutes after ordering and the soup arrived 25 minutes after (and we were not “warned”). Would go back!"

"This place has been on my list of places I wanted to visit for a while! They are super busy so be mentally prepared to possibly have to wait for a table to open up, we got there at 10 am and thankfully didn’t have to wait long but we were only 2 people it was still pretty packed. Food is delicious and high quality but smaller portions so keep that in mind when ordering. We got the pumpkin soup, eggs with toast and beef bacon (halal), the crepes and cottage cheese pancakes, highly recommend all of them! We also got the tary tea and black coffee which were both pretty good! Definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for something different and haven’t tried Uzbek food before!"

"I was eager to try this place after coming across it while walking. I’ve been here twice. Seating is very limited and they have only 3 paper menus for people to share. The place is disorganized and super crowded. As someone who has never had Kazakh food, I was disappointed. They almost seem irritated when you ask for clarification on what “Irmshik” is. I shouldn’t have to be familiar with your culture’s cuisine to partake in a coffee and pastry. Coffee is ok. Food not so much. I don’t think I’ll be returning after my disappointing rice meal. Paying $43 for rubbery dry chicken and crunchy (not done) rice, watered down latte, and a sour cinnamon roll while fighting for a seat is insane. I wish them well and hope they succeed, but I’m not sure it’s worth the money."

"I had an amazing experience here. Our breakfast and coffee were delicious, we could feel the high quality of the coffee. The service was the kindest and the staff was very attentive. The place is very beautiful, unique, and has a comforting atmosphere. One of the best cafes I’ve visited I will definitely be back in my next trip to Chicago."

"Mushroom soup was delicious, good bread that came with it (two small pieces left me wanting more lol), and good hot chocolate. Nice vibe. I went Jan 24–freezing outside—I would suggest they mount one of those temporary winter door set ups to help (every time someone opens the door it’s freezing and several tables are affected since it’s a small space."
