As the owner of Pleasant Palace Cleaning and Organizing Service, I have a deep appreciation for environments that prioritize peace and presentation, and this cafe nails it. Between the ample seating, soft music, local artwork, and the presence of a chess board and community board, it’s clear this is a hub for connection. As someone who values community impact, I love that they are connected to the North Lawndale Employment Network and offer ethically sourced honey and merch. The logistics are just as thoughtful: The Vibe: Peaceful with great Wi-Fi—perfect for getting work done. The Menu: Incredibly diverse. From pastries and sandwiches to specialty meals and grab-and-go options, there is something for everyone. The Details: Pristine bathrooms and even an indoor ATM for convenience. I enjoyed a small matcha, a croissant, a small Bee Tea, and a breakfast sandwich. While the prices may vary from the current online menu (please update your online menu) (I spent about $28), the quality and the mission made me more than happy to support them. The absolute highlight, however, was the staff. They are diverse, attentive, and move with a level of respect and kindness that makes all the difference. "I took my son here for lunch, and we absolutely loved it! The food, beverages, and atmosphere were all wonderful. My son is usually very picky, but they were so prepared for him — I’m guessing there are some moms on the team who get it! I had the jerk sandwich with a matcha, and he enjoyed a smoothie with a ham, egg, and cheese sandwich. Everything was delicious, and we’ll definitely be coming back!"

"Nice cafe in the Lawndale neighborhood of Chicago. It is amazing to find a place like this in a rough neighborhood. Coffee is pretty good. Limited food and snack options. Good seating to hangout or do your work. It is attached to an urban employment place. They have 2 police guards at all times. They have a bee farm right across the street from where they get all their honey."
