What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"Decent food, great service and exceptional atmosphere. 1. Food and drink was expensive but good for the vibe they had. Especially if you go with group of people. 2. Lots of tables for multiple number of groups. But quickly fill on weekends and even on certain weekdays too. 3. Great service and cocktails are really good. I had “Signature Tapp Subourbon” drink and tastes good. Whiskey sour is good too."
"Tiny Tapp has one of the best atmospheres on the Chicago Riverwalk. We actually stumbled across it while walking along the river, and I’m so glad we did! The location is perfect. It overlooks the river, so you can watch the boats pass by and people watch at the same time. Some seats were reserved while others were seat-yourself, and we were lucky enough to grab a spot right along the ledge overlooking the river and walking path. The restrooms were clean and open to the public, which was a pleasant surprise. I ordered an iced chai tea latte, which was delicious. It’s made with Tazo chai mix and they had dairy-free options, which I really appreciated. Between the drinks, the view, and the overall vibe, this place was just so much fun. Definitely planning on going back!"
"Probably the bar with the biggest vibe on the river. Got on a waiting list and was told 30-40 minutes, but was seated in about 15 mins. That was a nice surprise. Hosts were kind and helpful. I ordered the same beer twice, but was served two different beers. However, they were both good, no problem. We ordered a Flatbread and it was pretty burned, like unedible. We brought it up to the attention of one of the waitresses, and she was going to "mention it to the manager". Another waitress serving the table next to us, came over and said "we'll make it good". She didn't mention anything about "the manager". The Flatbread came back and it was OK, not great, but good enough. In the end, it was comped, so a generous tip was given. The food was OK, the beer was good. The vibe and the service was excellent in the end. I believe that the kitchen was probably overwhelmed on a Friday afternoon with Temps in the 80's and the orders were hard to maintain. An unforgettable trip (from Houston) could have been an unpleasant experience, but the staff saved the day. I LOVE Chicago."
"Today I elected to take a break, relaxing at Tiny Cafe, along Chicago’s waterfront. Tiny offers both a cafe for coffee and pastries, as well as a full bar for later in the day. I ordered my usual, cappuccino in a mug, a bit dry. Despite the fantastic waterfront, the cappuccino left much to be desired. If you’ve followed my cappuccino reviews, you will know I am not a fan of the “to go” experience. Nor am I fond of the “cappuccino button” school of Baristas. Per this rubric Tiny Cafe started with two strikes against them. The cappuccino itself left much if not all to be desired. You will find lines and crowds most operating hours at Tiny. I’d venture to say these people are coming for the views, not the cappuccino. Who can blame them. Chicago is beautiful in Fall. Enjoy"
"I had a really nice time eating here because the service was friendly and welcoming. The food came out quickly and was packed with flavor. The appetizers were great for sharing and the main dishes were satisfying. The vibe of the restaurant was relaxed, which made it a good spot to enjoy a meal with friends."
"I've been meaning to try out Tiny Tapp ever since I moved back to Chicago this year! What a cute, fun spot. I met a friend here on a weekday for after-work..."
