"Nice vibe, not too busy, reasonably priced. Came on a frigid Sunday night to watch the Bears game. Owner brought some chips and warmed up chili for everyone. It's too bad we lost, but it was a fun time, and they had some karaoke after to lighten the mood."

We already loved Uptown Lounge as a bar and now we're so excited for another walkable coffee shop!! It's so close to the Lawrence L stop and the 81 line. "Uptown lounge has been a neighborhood staple forever and they opened a coffee shop recently. It’s so surprising because it is a busy bar at night yet transforms into a really cozy and comfortable coffee shop in the morning. They have flowers on the tables, old movies on the TVs, Great music playing, and the best coffee in the neighborhood. I love working from here, fast WiFi and plugs everywhere. There’s a lot of space and not crowded like a typical coffee shop that feels small and uncomfortable. their baristas are super friendly, they remember me by name every time I go in. The pastries are delicious especially the banana bread and apple cider bread. I’m so happy that they’re in my neighborhood. It has such a European feel, every time I go in I feel like it’s a little slice of an Italian café straight out of Rome. Anybody who’s in the neighborhood should definitely visit this coffee shop. And the bar is very lively too at night, they make an amazing espresso martini, and they’ve introduced Open Mic on Mondays, and have great DJs playing on the weekends. Such an awesome vibe and also next to the Lawrence red line stop."
