from Google & Yelp"Molly's cupcakes are Soo moist and decadent! Updated review (2nd visit): The scones are soo good especially the cranberry orange goes well with their coffee. The scones were moist and soft inside and crunchy dried crumbled exterior that pairs well with a warm coffee. The cranberries were soft and chewy. I also got their bagel breakfast sandwich which has cheese, egg, and bacon for $7. I was a bit disappointed in the thickness of the egg it was a very thin slice of an egg patty so I had to reduce a star for that. I think they should add a second slice of egg patty in there to make it more filling. The bagel itself is actually very good, chewy and soft at the same time and not too thick like some bagels can be, I really liked it. It comes out fresh, made to order, so it's nice and warm and the cheese is melted and gooey, bacon crispy. Not sure I would get it again unless they had a thicker egg patty. I may try their bagel with cream cheese next time though because the bagel was good. I had the lavender matcha latte with my breakfast bagel. The lavender syrup is pretty good not too sweet, the matcha itself was all right I've had better but for the price it's decent and I would probably get it again with vanilla syrup next time. I will definitely get the scones again though and would like to try their savory green onion scone next time. I also wanted to try their savory danishes but they had none which was disappointing. I was told that they haven't made them in a while so I think they should remove it from their menu then. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Initial review (1st visit) : I picked up the buttercream cupcake, creme brulee cupcake, and the orange cranberry cupcake and they were all very moist, rich, and sooo good! Cupcakes are $3.50 for no filling inside and $4.50 for filling. It may seem pricey per cupcake but they are generous with the filling inside, the whipped cream topping on top as well, and the cake portion of the cupcake is moist and soft. My bestie tried the coffee drip for $4.50 it has a strong flavor and cherry undertones which I thought was unique tasting. I tried the lavender vanilla latte which was excellent, lavendar was subtle and not overbearing and the coffee wasn't too strong like the coffee drip one. I got their freshly baked baguette for $3 and it is sooo worth it! Crunchy exterior and soft fluffy inside. Had it with some mash for dinner and butter and it was chefs kiss! I will be snagging a sourdough next time which they sell for $6. Both breads are made in house. The worker informed us that the bakery kitchen in the back is where they make Molly's cupcakes for all Chicago locations which I thought was cool. The service is great and the worker was very friendly and polite. They have ample seating and wifi as well. The place is decorated very cute. Want to try their tiramisu and matcha next time! Definitely will be back and probably a regular customer for their breads. I do have to confirm if the sourdough is made with a starter/yeast which would qualify it as real sourdough. Hope management sees this and can provide an answer for that as I forgot to ask. For 4 Molly's cupcakes, 2 drinks (one large coffee and one small latte), and a baguette was around $25-$30 price range with tax and tip included. Free parking on street on Sundays."
"This was the second time we’ve been here, we’ve done savory pastries, sweet and gotten the cup cakes twice. The coffee is great, the service is perfect, and the cupcakes are incredible. I do want to say. I am leaving a 5 star review because everything is so good but I got some beef with Mollys cupcakes. I got a red velvet cupcake and it wasn’t cream cheese icing. That felt disrespectful."
"Loving this new spot in Bridgeport! They’ve got fresh Molly’s Cupcakes along with an awesome selection of breakfast pastries. On my first visit, I tried an iced latte—so good! For fall, they’re serving homemade apple cider, which is definitely a must-try. Staff is always kind, and they have a cute lounge and a few tables that would make working from home here fun. Excited to keep coming back and supporting this great new business!"
"I really really like having a nearby place where I can pick up fresh bread. I think the croissants and scones are forgettable and a bit overpriced, Molly’s cupcakes are amazing (ofc!) and I’ve tried the baguette and loaf bread and I’ll keep buying both. The prices are fine for coffee, a little high for the scones and croissants (another reason to skip). Everyone here is pretty nice."
"Beautiful space! Very warm and welcoming. Nice treats, really enjoyed the matcha latte. Great addition to Bridgeport!"
"Vjosa Cafe is the real deal! We've been waiting for a place like this to open up in Bridgeport. We've stopped in twice for breakfast- no wait, and a full..."
