"This place was on my list to try while I was in IL for a week. Last day here. WORTH it. We were sat immediately, the waitress Bria helped choose between two coffees and two meals!!! Husband loved his meal too, has leftovers for tomorrow. Tha k Bria for a wonderful experience for my last meal on IL!!!"

"I came in to the southern cafe today and I ordered the chilaquiles, cinnamon roll pancakes and my mom ordered a BLT we paid 50.57 and the food wasn’t that good the food didn’t have any flavor and I think that was too much for food that didn’t have any flavor. We had a wonderful waitress named Vicky."

"Spacious restaurant. Friendly service. Food was fresh and came out quickly. Reasonably priced. Food was good. We had catfish & Grits, Denver omelette, fried green tomatoes, and a fruit punch lemonade. Grits were bland, but the mushroom sauce on top was flavorful. Everything was good. Atmosphere was pretty quiet for a packed house and everyone including the staff, were mannerable."

"Nice big restaurant. We got a table on a Saturday morning right away. Service was good...food was so so. I ordered hot tea and was given luke warm water. My wife's cream of chicken soup was also luke warm. Her chicken avocado sandwich was delicious! Portions are good. I had an omelette that should have been cooked longer."

"My waitress was amazing and attentive to our needs. Food is always delicious and fresh! No concerns there! I love coming to this brunch restaurant! They have large portions and you will not go away hungry! Good pricing and delicious options. However, the manager was incredibly rude. I was talking with him and the cashier and an employee came up in the middle of the conversation interrupted and he allowed it and ignored me intentionally. I was in the middle of asking him how best I could have a small group of friends on a Saturday which is their busy day? I was trying to work our group in and accommodate the restaurant. He said it would be very inconvenient! He didn’t want us coming. I explained we would work with their schedule and wait our turn, how much we love their restaurant, and it mattered little to him. Disappointing for sure. One person at an establishment can really make a difference to help or to cause people to not want to come back. Unfortunate for sure."
