"This is a nice local diner that also does catering here in Elgin. I tried them a couple years ago for the fried fish that I had read good reviews about, and it was very good! I just tried them again last week for lunch takeout for my wife and me. We got the BLT, the Cuban and the Caesar salad. They were prepared well and came with all fresh fixins. I recommend that you check them out and support this local restaurant!"

"Total hidden gem here in Elgin, Ive had just about everything on the menu over the years,. truly home made, never frozen stuff. some faves of mine are the bbq sandwiches, the various soups made fresh from scratch like the vidalia onion, chicken gumbo!, and broc cheese. my new fave is the bavarian ham sandwich on pretzel roll. fresh and delicious mix of mustards and ham and cheese. great staff, always fresh and well worth it, when looking for something different and home cooked fresh. this is the place. enjoy!"
