"Coffee shops can be a bit overwhelming at times and Brothers K is far from overwhelming. Warm and friendly even on the coldest of Midwest days. They serve great coffee and make a delicious Cortado. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and even asked me about my day as I waited for my bagel to toast. My wife and I sit for a few hours, talk and do some work occasionally When the weather is warm we take full advantage of there outdoor seating on the corner! Brothers K is a charming, friendly and welcoming all in one. Can’t wait to solidify my status as a regular!"

"This review is quite overdue since I’ve been a customer of brothers k for over 20 years! This independent coffee shop is quite spacious and there’s plenty of seating, both inside and out, though it can sometimes be all occupied. It has a bit of a hippy vibe with a mix of chair and table design styles and it looks like they are currently updating and replacing the older more worn out decor, including wallpaper and signage, and the refresh is very welcome. The coffee offerings are delicious and made very well, and the customer service is kind and friendly. One of their current fall specials is a cardamom rose latte and it was wonderful with oat milk with just the right amount of sweetness without being overly sweet. Brothers k has many regular customers that come for the coffee and the relaxed vibe. Please join us; it has my 5 stars review and recommendation! *****"

"Adding a star because owner reached out to me. Original review: Love the staff. This is for the Brothers K owner…Stop. The. Panhandler. Inside your store! The guy wandering from table to table. Doesn’t matter if you feel sorry for him. I paid $10 for coffee and a donut. I don’t want a stranger staring at me, talking to me, asking for money. Do you know how hard the city is working to shut down Albany Care? Do you know Albany Care residents openly deal drugs every day? That a resident died in the elevator? That a resident was arrested for sexually abusing a minor? That the private owners (who refuse to sell Albany Care) joke about how much money residents make begging in Evanston? Join the next zoom meeting with city officials to hear what’s at stake."
