"Fantastic bagels! Make sure to come early if you want to get your hands on these incredible Montreal-style bagels. The first time I came at 12, only to find out that they were completely sold out. I tried coming back at 11 on another day, and even then, a large portion of the bagels were gone, so I’d recommend coming even earlier. This spot brings Montreal to you with rugged stone walls, fun portraits, and friendly patrons. You can also watch the bagels be made right in front of you with their wood fired oven. I had the Ned Flanders on a Kerrygold cheddar bagel, which had a healthy amount of salmon and cream cheese. The bagel was so dense, had the perfect amount of chew, and tasted freshly baked. It was toasted well with the crispy, cheesy exterior and crunchy bite that was filled with so much substance. I got the cacio e pepe cream cheese, which paired well with the salmon. This bagel sandwich will leave you fully satisfied with your only disappointment being that you didn’t order more. With the diversity of bagels and schmears, I will absolutely be returning for more!"

"I prefer NY Style Bagels. I wasn’t aware of Montreal style, until after I started chowing’ down on my order. Found this place on a walk with my friend, I love carbs, so naturally I returned. First impression : I was disappointed . The cream cheese was not smeared on the bagel, so I could not bite and go. TheSesame bagel had lots of sesame seeds, but it was not the NY style bread I know & love. Might be a harsh comparison but texture was giving Dunkin’ or Starbucks bagels. The second item I ordered was the lox, The Billy Corgan was amazing. Salmon was soft and buttery, but sandwich was missing the fresh crunch of veggies. If you’re into salty things necessary sodium intake was met with the Billy Corgan, coming in with only pickled red onions, capers and a pickle on the side- guess lots of salt isn’t bad on an infrequent basis. The bagel was tough, Starbucks/ Dunkin bagels. Lefty’s version has lemon dill cream cheese, but I opted for good ol’ plain cream cheese and I’m glad I did, the Montreal style bagel was not doing it for me so it was good to have some classic ingredients. However, because the lox was loaded with the smoked salmon, I devoured it. Third item I ordered: The Coffee. It was strong, and aromatic. I actually wouldn’t mind another cup on another Tuesday Morning around 8AM. The place was quiet and almost empty, I could get some computer work done . Entertained my inner child by grabbing the coloring pages with crayons provided, should have signed my masterpiece! No picture of the actual Lox because I ate it, and completely forgot the photo shoot."

"Lefty’s bagels land squarely between NY and Montreal styles in both appearance and texture. The bagels are prepared in the traditional process for a Montreal bagel with an extra overnight proof, which results in thicker/bigger bagels with a less dense interior more akin to the NY style. We got a Billy Corgan (nova lox) sandwich on a toasted everything and their May special, toasted Zeverything (everything + zaatar) bagel & hot honey cream cheese. The bagels itself were delicious: nicely toasted with a crisp exterior packed with toppings and a dense yet fluffy interior that wasn't at all gummy. What also set Lefty’s apart for me was the generous portion of thick nova lox slices in the sandwich with no tomatoes to fill space, unlike most places that give you two thin layers of lox and pad the rest with slices of tomato. While I do prefer NY style bagels, this is genuinely a great option to have around."

"I can’t even begin to tell you how great the bagels and macaroons are! If you love a cheesy bagel try the kerrygold-best bagel I have ever had. It’s not a NY bagel so you can’t really compare apples to apples like some have mentioned in reviews, and yes you have to put your own cream cheese on (a pet peeve of mine too but small potatoes and probably some to keep bagel more fresh if you’re not eating right away)…. but the bagels I’ve had so far are great. The place is really clean and cute warm aesthetic, the coffee is really good-and try one of those macaroons-better than any I’ve found at local bakeries. Good luck!🍀"

"I've had several different items off of the menu and have liked every one of them. Their menu items are high quality and they have a substantial variety of bagel and cream cheese flavors, small desserts, sandwiches, and drinks. The staff are also polite and friendly. I would just make sure to come in early - this place gets packed and bagels get sold out!"

"Pretty average bagel. Not a chewy crust and a little too doughy for my taste. Not worth the trip. $3.25 for a bagel, or $5.25 for a bagel with butter is..."
