from Google & Yelp"I thoroughly enjoyed my vanilla latte this morning! I also purchased a jar of pasta sauce and bag of pasta. The staff member was very kind and quick with making my drink. This is the 4th time I’ve gotten coffee at Primo’s, and it’s been great every time! Love popping in when visiting town."
"I really want this place to succeed, so I'm going to provide some honest feedback. Came in for coffee and a place to do some work, grabbed a slice of panettone that was on sale. All that was good. The less good: I had problems logging into the wifi. The person behind the counter said it has issues sometimes and suggested I try sitting further back in the cafe (instead of by the window). So I moved--right next to an old boombox blasting the radio. So I had New Kids on the Block (literally), Backstreet Boys, and commercials blaring at me as I tried to do some work on the computer. Maybe they're not trying to be the kind of place people sit and work, but that's what downtown Homewood needs IMO, and I'd rather go someplace local than Starbucks. I hope they're able to invest in a better sound system and wifi service."
"I was hesitant to visit today because I read a bad review about the bread being stale ...not so. They bake the bread themselves everyday. I'm assuming the reviewer doesn't know what " rustic Italian" bread is. It's very firm and chewy like a baguette. Clean pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff and reasonably priced."
"Well i’d like to say the atmosphere was nice inside but the service and food were not what we expected. They didn’t have decaf at a coffee store. She told us 8 minutes for two turkey paninis and we waited about 20 minutes for them both. Don’t tell a time frame if that’s not the case. The turkey sandwiches weren’t made like the menu said either. The sandwich had cheddar instead of provolone. Cleanliness could be better.Cross contamination was upsetting to see. They’re new so they could be better about time and cleanliness."
"Primo's replaced Red Bird Cafe. I'm still trying to get a feel for the new owners. I'm used to how personal and welcoming Kim was. The young woman who took my order seemed nice. However there was an older woman who I believe is the owner, she was showing the younger woman how to make the coffee. I didn't feel a friendly vibe from the older woman for some reason. You can just feel when people aren't genuinely nice. The thing is that I always try to support local businesses around the neighborhood. Everyone should feel welcomed around our neighborhood regardless of race, background, gender, etc. Nevertheless, the space is updated and very clean. I haven't tried the sandwiches yet, just the coffee which is pretty good. I go here instead of Starbucks because they use natural syrups for the lattes. Just treat people how you'd like to be treated. Spread good vibes!"
