"We finally got a chance to taste some food and coffee at this new cafe… The Matari latte was unique! I ordered the small Americano and it came in a humongous cup… but definitely good coffee. The Chinese croissant was average. The croissant became too flaky after they heated it up. The meat inside was still cold!! Hopefully, next time we get to try other items. Great customer service and lovely ambience…"

"I would honestly give this place a 4 out of 5. This cafe has one of the largest selections of desserts/snacks I’ve ever been to. I came on NYE around 10 pm, so I didn’t expect it to be super busy. The parking lot was pretty packed and we were lucky to find one table for 4 of us. Well, it was meant for 2 but we fit 4. The parking lot is pretty large since it’s in a shared area and there would be plenty of seating if you went in the morning or afternoon. Customer service was very friendly. I’m not offended if they don’t say hi to me when I first walk in the door or when I get to the register. I worked in retail and customers don’t say hi back. We got the large matari tea, pumpkin fall feels, tiramisu cup pistachio, and square strawberry mousse cake, yemeni latte, and they gave us a complimentary kunafa (NYE treat). That kunafa was dark chocolate and not overly sweet or rich. Just the right amount. I took a bite out of my friend’s Dubai chocolate cake. -matari tea 5 - this was a good tasting tea. They have pistachios and edible roses, and delicious spices. -pumpkin fall feels 2 - this was just okay. I had the mango, banana, and raspberry fruit cakes, so I expected a stronger pumpkin flavor. This had no pumpkin flavor at all. -tiramisu cup pistachio 5 - I liked how it was shaped like a cup. Everything came together nicely. I liked the chocolate shell and everything that was inside of the cup. -square strawberry mousse cake 3 - it said strawberry but I didn’t taste any. It has a nice texture when you cut into it and is very creamy. -Dubai chocolate cake 5 - it wasn’t too rich at all. I’ll have to order this next time. You have to make sure you eat the crust along with the kunafa and the chocolate in each bite."

"My new dessert hot spot. So many tasty options. The prices are a little steep but the portions are large & the flavors are great so you do get what you pay for. The matari chai is beautiful and yummy. We have been here multiple times at various times of the day and there is always a nice crowd. The atmosphere is quiet and delightful for breakfast, afternoon coffee with friends or late night snacking."

"November 22, 2025 - Today, I visited Matari Coffee Company in Lombard, Illinois. The coffee was outstanding. I had a cup of the Turkish blend. The flavor was robust, without any bitter after taste. I highly recommend this coffee shop. I will visit it again the next time I am in the area."

"Visited this café recently and had a nice experience overall. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. I tried their chai, which had good flavor, though I personally would have preferred it a bit less strong. The pink tea wasn’t really for me since it had quite a few nuts in it, but that might appeal to others who like that style. We also tried the chocolate flan and pistachio cheesecake — both were delicious and definitely worth ordering. A nice spot to relax and enjoy some desserts!"
