from Google"This place is awesome. It can be hard finding restaurants with sufficient vegan options, and they have many. Tasty food. Also, the ambiance is so cool inside. They have an impressive bar set up with a pool table and lounge area. It feels trendy, something you would find in the city. You could grab a drink with friends after work here or grab a bite with family. It says Cafe on the sign outside, but it is definitely much more than that here. Will be back!"
"Growing up on Devon Avenue (little India) I yearned for a place like this when I moved to the burbs. Chit Chaat Cafe felt like home. So happy to have it in the area. Food was delicious, service was great and everyone was so friendly. The decor was outstanding! Such a cozy and cute spot. Excited for all the new additions to the menu as well! Won’t stop raving about this place."
"So, I’m no stranger to Indian cuisine or even vegan/vegetarian as evident in all of my reviews. I’ll start with the positives, the employees were very friendly and helpful. We ordered the vegan vada pav sliders for something extra. I got the Mumbai cutting chai with the samosas and paneer tikka tacos. I really enjoyed the Mumbai cutting chai, it wasn't overly bitter. It’s a good chai to enjoy in any setting. The samosas I really liked. The empanada like crust was crispy. The fillings inside were moist and fresh. They pair well with both kinds of chutney. For the paneer tikka tacos I wasn’t feeling it, I felt like it was missing something. It was just bland to me. The vegan vada pav sliders were tasty but it was still spicy even after I selected mild. A tip for future customers. When you walk in, you go to the kiosks to order. After you do that and get your number, you find a table. They will bring your food to your table."
"Overall, the dining experience was fine. The food was about what you’d expect from an Indian street food place that is also doing a fusion mixture. I liked that the menu offered a couple of typical Indian items and also some fusion ones. The prices are a bit high, but not outrageous. I would be interested to try other items there. The best thing I ate was the loaded masala fries with the vanna sauce."
"Trendy little place (actually, it's pretty spacious) with a hearty assortment of snacks and chai. As other reviews have mentioned, they aren't kidding around with the spice level here. I like spicy food, so I asked for medium spice, but I actually think mild would have ensured a better flavor balance for me. I have so far been able to try the saffron chai, two samosas, and three paneer tikka tacos. That is already a lot of food for me, but since my husband came along, I also got to try his cheese curds. The cheese curds were especially good, as they were lightly dusted in a spicy powder. As for my food, I really liked the samosas, which were stuffed to the brim and full of flavor. The tikka sauce on the tacos was my favorite, with its nice tomatoey tang. Finally, the chai was complex, and piping hot, but not exactly sweet. I went ahead and added some sugar. Beyond all this, there are many more intriguing fusion items on the menu. We'll have to come back to try them another time. You place your order on a touchscreen, so you have a chance to ponder all of the tempting options. I do feel they could be a little more generous with the dipping sauces. I feel like dipping sauce is a big part of eating Indian street food, but you have to pay extra if you want any. There was some ketchup on the tables, and a very small amount of mint chutney served with my samosas. My husband says he was supposed to get a tikka dipping sauce with his cheese curds, but it was missing. In any case, I don't think it would be too much for something like a yogurt sauce to be made available to dine-in customers at the least. As for the vibe, it was rather modern and hip. I noticed a pool table and some board games, so the atmosphere encourages one to casually get together with friends and stay a while. The service we received was very attentive (so my husband should have asked for his tikka sauce if he wanted it!)."
