What People Are Saying
from Google"This ranks up there with one of the BEST experiences we have ever had at a restaurant! It was our granddaughter's 12th birthday and she's been talking about wanting to go to Paris. So I found Taste of Paris in Mundelein, and thought that would be perfect (for now). She invited her 11 year old cousin (BFF) and the four of us headed to the restaurant - it was a surprise and we told them to pretend we were flying somewhere. When we got there, they were in complete amazement throughout the entire experience. We met Chef Claude when we walked in as the girls were wide eyed looking at the Eifel Tower in the restaurant - he knew it was our first trip there. We got to sit under the Eifel tower. The food was AMAZING, and the service was the BEST. We brought some sweets home from the bakery, and the girls had their dessert at home. We can't wait to get back here for Breakfast and Lunch! Thank you Chef Claude and your amazing staff for a birthday that will be remembered forever! Ann, Rick, Hollie & Riley"
"Stopped in for a quick brunch. I ordered eggs Benedict. The prices were higher than what is posted on their website by a few dollars per item. For $13.50 I got two poached eggs, one slice of ham, sauce and a croissant. Nothing came with the meal. I left still hungry. The dish was very good and I enjoyed it but felt that the price was too high. But so is everything everywhere. $21 for a very small breakfast which included coffee. The breads and pastries looked fabulous on the way out and I would have loved to buy a couple of items but that would have been another $20. Pass. Cute place. Good service."
"We stopped in for the first time and had a wonderful experience! We had really great food, I ordered a savory and very flavorful mushroom and spinach crepe with Swiss cheese, and my husband ordered eggs Benedict, on a croissant, light and fluffy eggs, with a light and flavorful hollandaise sauce, clearly the owner knows what he is doing in the kitchen. I mentioned it was my birthday and the owned gave me macrons for my birthday! I even left with a beautiful cake!"
"I stopped there on November 8, 2025. The Limoncello cake was the best. I bought as carry out. The crème brûlée was good, the pistachio cake was so so. Excellent service and a bit pricey but it is expected because of the quality! Don’t know when I will be back because I don’t visit the area of Mundelein often. Highly recommend it!"
"Taste of Paris delivers a charming blend of classic French flavors and cozy neighborhood warmth, earning a solid four stars. The pastries are the standout—flaky, fresh, and made with the kind of precision that shows real skill in the kitchen. Their savory options hold their own as well, offering balanced, satisfying plates that feel both comforting and elevated. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy a leisurely bite and momentarily forget you’re not actually sitting in a small café along the Seine. Service is friendly and relaxed, and while the space can get a bit busy during peak hours, the atmosphere remains inviting. A few minor tweaks—perhaps quicker table turnover or slightly sharper consistency in pacing—would make the experience nearly perfect. Still, Taste of Paris is a delightful stop for anyone craving French-inspired flavors with a personal touch, and it’s easy to see why locals keep it on their regular rotational ."
